I took in a dog that was removed from an abusive environment where she was denied food and water as punishment. I first took her to SNIP in League City and was extremely disappointed. That's when this group was brought to my attention. Turns out Lulu had a bladder stone that was HUGE. They got her scheduled for surgery asap. The front desk staff is very knowledgeable and answered numerous questions, added extra concerns I had in her file, and treated her like they were their pet. Lulu was about half her normal weight before surgery. She's now filled out to the point you can no longer feel every bone. She was a totally new dog in less than 24 hours. I will continue to make the harrowing drive on I45, which is something I truly dread.

They had set aside a kennel for him, and we only had his crate, so we zipped over to buy a bed for him. Every day, the staff sent Pulitzer Prize-quality photos of our dog playing like crazy. We could tell that he was having a blast! What I especially liked was that he was still excited to see us when we came to pick him up. It told me that this place is super fun, but it's not a place that he confuses with home. I also liked that he had zero injuries, abrasions, no physical sign from all that play. Really excellent place.

I was really in…read morehigh hopes that this clinic was going to deliver a great experience, but we ended up leaving before we were even seen by the vet after waiting for 45 minutes for the vet to come into the room. I have a pug so her breathing becomes exasperated from too much stimulation. After 40 minutes and seeing the vet walk into the room of another patient that came in 30 minutes after us, I went and asked one of the ladies behind the counter to let everyone know that we couldn't wait any longer and that we needed to leave. Our first appointment was at 2:00 for the first dog and then the other two were immediately following so we couldn't understand why we weren't being seen. I ended up leaving my other dog with my friend and her dog and immediately left to get my girl home so she could come down from the heavy panting. The staff made her wait another 15 minutes and then charge us for blood work and never even came back to us with the results. Total disappointment. I thought all the rumors about how bad the service is were going to be debunked in this visit however, Galveston Veterinary Clinic really lived up to the negative reviews. I will say that if you are a regular patient there, you do seem to get preferential treatment, so there's that.
