I contacted them back in May and I was a bit hesitant based on the reviews I have seen however, they got back to me right away and gave me a fair estimate with a 10 year warranty. One of thier technicians came to our house and quickly got the job done. It's been three months and I have not had a single issue. Contacted them for a bat removal and clean up, they responded pretty quickly and asked for pictures, front and back and my house, I also included interior photos of the damage done by the bats. Des Moines, IA We had a couple bats in our house this year. I called and got an inspection from another company then called The Bat Guys to make sure the house was sealed. Over the phone, I was given the price: $2,550. Not cheap but a ten-year warranty. I was assured that they were able to provide the price based upon their expertise and available information. Their web site explains how they "KNOW the price" without coming out to inspect. The document I received said that they would come out, do a complete inspection and seal the house to prevent bats from entering. The only contingency on the pricing was dependent on whether we had a particular kind of venting (which we don't). They showed up on the date agreed. They then proceeded with an inspection and told me that the price would be $5,000 - almost exactly double what they said they KNEW was the price. I declined to pay double so they charged me $300 for an inspection that I didn't need and had already had. When I complained, Erik agreed that "for now" he would hold the $399 check and not cash it. He did not agree to return the check or not to cash it tomorrow. So ... they "know the price" is $2,550; they arrive and nearly double the price; they charge me $300 for an inspection I didn't need when I declined to agree to the new price. Beware. read more

So far so good! Dallas examined our situation and was very personable. He explained everything in detail and was very willing to answer my questions. He installed two extraction devices. Seven weeks have gone by and we haven't seen a bat since he was here. Prior to his solution we were seeing bats almost every day inside our attached garage. The jury is still out on if they got rid of my bats but what I do know is that what they did to get the bats out destroyed my roof. After almost four years of having their bat exclusion devices on my roof (their work has a 10 year warranty so I am assuming these devices are made for the long haul) seven of my upstairs ceilings need to be repaired from water damage. It did not take an expert to see (although we hired one) that all the damage was coming from the four bat exclusion devices that were screwed to our roof. The damage to our ceilings was directly below the devices and around them. The bat guys told me the screws they use protect from leaks and they cover them with silicone. The problem is that over time the roof changes and holes around the screws occur which allows leaks. And the silicone they used to protect the roof actually did more harm then good as it started to lift up and ripped to top layer of our shingles off which also created leaks. After careful examination we found screws not put in properly and one hole without a screw in at all. All leading to a lot of water damage to our ceilings. I have pictures to prove everything. The bat exclusion devices were removed by the roofing company we hired to fix our roof. We will eventually have to repair seven ceilings that used to be beautiful. I talked to The Bat Guys and I shared with them all that I am sharing now. Their response to me was they would send a technician out to make sure the roofing company sealed up the bat entry ways adequately and they would charge me an additional $250 to do this service. Seriously. They destroyed my roof and they wanted me to pay THEM. I told them all I wanted was my money back for the original service which is far less then what it will cost us to repair our roofs and ceilings. Their response to me? They never called me back. I'll just share my experiences with the Bat Guys and you can decide...In June 2015 The Bat Guys showed up, spent 30 minutes "bat proofing" then asked for about $2000. Said it was good to go, then in December turns out the bats were still in my house because I could hear them. Mike came back in March after I called to remind him. He said he'd be here on a Friday but it was 12 days before he showed up. Then in May I have a bat flying through my house. I have my landlord call him, landlord leaves a message and Mike still hasn't called him back. Update: landlord has called several more times and It's been 2 weeks. Still haven't heard from Mike. Called a roofer to check what Mike insisted was the issue since Mike clearly won't call back and the roofer disagreed. The roofer then proceeded to fill more holes he thought might actually be the issue for free. read more

Awefull !!! The 10 year warranty is a lie. 9 months after I had the Bat Guys out to my home I had my roof replaced due to hail damage. The roofing company unknowingly removed the apparatuses which I did not notice until spring when the snow was gone. I called to see about replacing them and was told NO...without any discussion or solutions. I read other reviews about The Bat Guys honoring the 10 yr warranty when customers have new roofs but apparently I am not one of these chosen few. I am not sure how that works. I would suggest that if you want your bat situation fixed that you look elsewhere for a company that really honors their warranty. I spent $1000, biggest waste of money. read more

We called a number of bat removal companies numbers times to take care of an extreme bat issue at our remote log cabin in MN. Mike was the only guy that called back. Not only did he call back, he was at our place within 2 days. They bat proofed and cleaned up the bat guano (it was BAD). Was it cheap, no. Was it effective, yes. It is now a year later and we still do not have any bats. Contacted him today by email to sign up for an inspection program to prevent this from happening again. Responded back within 2 minutes. I have had bats for quite some time. I hadn't had a problem with them being in my attic as they are good for the environment. But one day one escaped into my home while I was napping on the couch and swooped down at me. That was it I needed something done to get them out then.
