Long story short, home bakery ruined our gender reveal…read more.. After many years and birthday cakes ordered here, my mom ordered a set of cupcakes for my gender reveal. She ordered them over the phone and gave specific instructions on colors, cake flavors, etc. She had ordered white/vanilla cupcakes so that when our family bit into the cupcakes the gender color would be revealed. The employee on the phone reiterated the order and we thought all was well. Well my dad went to pick them up and was asked to sign a paper (not sure that this is policy or not but this seemed suspicious as if they knew they messed up) and came home with a dozen chocolate cupcakes. Unfortunately I have a family member who cannot have chocolate, and that is why we did not order that flavor. Very disappointing for a bakery that has been around for years and a staple in downtown Rochester can't even get a simple cake flavor correct. Unfortunately our reveal was disappointing as not everyone could partake due to home bakery's error. I will make sure myself/family and friends will never order from here again.
