I took away one star for unprofessionalism. I understand it's a barber shop, but while I was in there, there were many kids, but that did not stop the guys working there from cursing and dropping F bombs. Also, anytime a barber got a call, he would stop cutting hair and take the call on their cell phone. As a customer, I did not appreciate that, but I will return.

Called around and found this place that makes you forget you're in Merced inside. Very cool atmosphere. Vince was our barber and he was super nice and gentle with him. He took his time to explain about the anatomy of my son's hair and the different tools he was using on him, knowing that I wanted to learn to cut in the long run. At the end, he said no charge! What a nice guy...but of course I still insisted to tip. Welcoming place for men (and babies!) to hang, chat, and get cuts! They take their time with you and have passion for what they do. They're artists!
