I've been going here on and off for 5 years, primarily because it's a three minute drive from my house. In all this time, I've gotten maybe two good haircuts from them. Consistently I show pictures of myself with my hair at the desired length. They proceed to say "sounds good!" and then cut my hair absurdly short. I've finally reached my last straw and will be taking the inconvenient route from now on. They are nice people but awful at providing a reliable haircut that suits the patron. I've worked with every active barber there so this is not isolated to an individual person. Really a shame! I like the place. Covid is over, so customers no longer sign in. The table to sign in no longer exists. As of 2/25, a regular hair cut is $25. Seniors get a $2 discount. Got my hair cut by Roseann today. She likes talking to her customers about whatever or her family. Nice lady. The shop is kept clean. Seating in the back is fine. Today there were four people in line, but we didn't wait long. First come, first served. They set out cones in the winter for customers to park. Some people tend to park in front of barber shop for hours and then go into the nearby restaurant, so the cones go out in winter for the elderly read more

It's a barbershop. They cut hair, they do it well, and they take customers on a first come, first served basis. I've tried other barbers in town but I like the cuts I get here the best. I've been coming here for over 25 years. A cut is under $20. Nothing wrong with that. They cut a lot of hair. They try to move things along. So there's sometimes hair on the floor. Im really just appalled by the way I was just talked to. I've been coming here every since I was a kid and now im in my 20s. I live roughly 15 minutes from here and have multiple barbers/salons in my area but travel the extra 10 minutes because this place has always given a reliable, nice haircut. I just went in and got spoken to out of line by an older woman saying in the most condescending and harsh tone that I need to "not walk around the table and write my name and phone #". Im sorry but I had no clue what the table was for, it could have been for flyers or a raffle, how am I suppose to know? (Also I have no problem writing down my name and number, but I just didn't know I was supposed to) Regardless you just don't talk to people that way. I sat down after for a couple of minutes and then made an appointment somewhere else, pretending to get a phone call and then left because I was mad. I was the "young man" with the black hair w/ blue tips, just wanted to let you know who I was and know you ruined my day by speaking to me the way you did. Words have an impact and you might have been having a bad day, but that gives you no right to speak out at people. We just had the worst experience at The Barber Shop in West Concord, Ma. We have been there before and it was a great experience. Unfortunately, today, we had a woman named Rose Ann and she was the absolute worst. She is horrible at cutting hair but more importantly, she is a horrendous person to deal with. She is short tempered, mean, combative, and can not act professionally. She is terrible with children and was both verbally and physically abusive to my child. Upon sitting in her chair, she immediately acted aggressive (pulling their hair roughly to move their heads and hurting them) and also issued threats (when my child moved their head because she hurt them, she held their hair and threatened them to not do that again because "she was not playing games"). I could go on. Rose Ann seems very mentally unstable and no one should give this woman scissors. Avoid the very unpleasant experience and possible scissors to the head and stay far far away. read more

I got a hair cut there, asked for an even short cut with nothing fancy because i don't style it. the middle aged barber started by completely buzzing the sides and i knew then it was not going to be what I wanted. he gave me his haircut, a flat-top like haircut... Store is scheduled to open at 7am. No chance. When Tim used to own and run it, you could count on being open at 6:45 like clock work. He had pride. Now that Tim has been gone for years, it gets worse and worse. I've been a 20 year customer but no more. You're lucky to see the door open by 7:15. If your coming to get in and out before work, this isn't your shop. Yesterday, they opened at 7:20. When we got out of there, the barbershop too was still not open at 7:40. There were people sitting on the stoop waiting..... Too many other options to let these jokers screw up your day. read more
