I drive past this business at least twice a day through the week and of course I have never gone in…read morebecause I'm a woman. But a male co-worker came to town and needed a haircut, so I went and picked him up and drove him to Classic Man Cuts. Let me tell you, I was a little jealous, but we need to give men nice things too. So I should have thought to call and make an appointment, but when you watch tv shows, guys just always wander into a barber shop. It worked out great because we happened to catch a barber who was leaving for the day. I think he clocked my co-worker's furry face and head and came back. One fun thing while we were there is I got to play with a dog named Silas (chocolate lab), who belongs to a regular customer. I can't tell you how much I love seeing sweet dogs that the owners let me pet them when I'm in a business. If there are bodega cats, there should be business dogs. Anyway, I thought a barbershop was a sit down in the chair and get a cut and go about 10 min later. Nope! Not this place! There were hot towels involved on my co-worker's face before a shave (he said that shave was the best - he said he get ingrown hairs when he shaved, making his whole face sound like a bikini line), and there was a massage right around the neck and shoulders using hand massagers. As we left, my co-worker sounded like he's going to come back to Orlando just to go to this place. That's really saying something. And his hair looked incredible. Wish I had gotten the names of the barbers in the shop; all I can tell you is both of them have the front two stations as you walk in, and the barber that worked on my co-worker was in the station on the left when you walk in (but I could also see the great work the barber in the other station was doing). It's a very chill place, with a nice seating area. Very clean (I watched everything the barber on the right did to clean his station between customers and I was impressed). It's nice and well lit inside, and it's 100% an experience and not just a great cut. Ladies, send your men here and then go to a spa for a facial; you men will 100% understand and support your spa visit.

I went through a couple of barbers in St. Pete and while I didn't typically hate my hair, it wasn't the same as what I was used to. I eventually acquiesced, sucked it up, and accepted those barbers and made them my own. I recently move back to Orlando and tried to find a barber shop close to my home. I sampled several shops and found them all to be unbelievably lacking. I avoided my old barber because the shop was out of my way from my new house. One day I was forced to call him up and go to Ace of Spades. I got the best haircut I've had in years. Ace of Spades reminded me what a true barber shop looks, feels, and sounds like. My barber Chris is phenomenal. The shop itself is well-lit, clean, pleasing to the eye, large and with plenty of seating. The other barbers there are friendly, helpful, and boast of a wide variety. As long as I'm here in Orlando, I will always go to Ace of Spades, and if you're in town or are just looking to make a change, do yourself a favor and take a look here, as you will not be disappointed.

The shop is located in the SODO section of Orlando south of the Palmer Hospital across from the big Target and an Ace Hardware on S Orange Ace. The building has 4 businesses and it sits in the middle, the parking lot has space for about 12 cars, I have never had trouble getting a spot. The shop itself is in need of some TLC not sure if that is on the owner of the barbershop or the building but that does not affect the work of the barbers. Make an appointment online before you show up because many of the barbers work by appointment. (https://www.cutshavestyle.com/SoDoDistrict) Since they work by appointment just because you see a seat available doesn't mean you can sit in it, the client might be late or that maybe the barbers selected meal break time.
