Having been a college recruiter and knowing a lot about the college process, the team at Peachtree…read moreCollege Planning impressed me when I first met them 5 years ago. If you are a family that needs help and NOT every family needs it, this is a group you should strongly consider given the tools and philosophy. I have told families that college is very expensive and you can get fleeced by the universities if you are not careful.

My wife and I live in east cobb and we attended a free seminar Titled" How to pay for you child's…read morecollege". The person who gave the presentation was very polished and gave examples of how a student can attend an out of state private university cheaper than a instate public one. At the time we did not have any idea how we were going to pay for our child's future schooling. We decided to meet with a counselor to explore the possibilities and what else this firm had to offer. What we found out was that we needed the help and they could offer us many services . We already had College Counselors at the school my child is attending so we assumed that many of the questions like how to write an effective essay, how do AP/honors classes help you when applying for schools, possible schools that fit your child, filling out forms ,would be answered by them .. What we found out was that PCP has a partner co called Professional Education Services that works with the student to determine what schools are the best fit for them. This is done by the student filling out a Personality analysis to determine what types of interests they have and the majors that fit them and what schools that are the best in these fields. They also help with filling out their FAFSA and CSS forms - a very daunting process. They presented schools that would fit their academic rigor- rating them Green, yellow or Orange . Most importantly for us and why we contacted them in the first place. PCP did an analysis of our financial situation and worked with us in determining the best way that we could pay for our child's college experience and helped us put this plan into place. We are half way thru this process and my child will apply to schools this fall. They have been there for us since the first time I met them . When we get acceptances they will help us negotiate with the school on behalf of what is the best situation and for us and our family .I would highly recommend them as an outstanding company to work with for your college planning needs.
