The Attic Antiques store located on West Bay Street in the Savannah Historic District really is sort of an attic like of a place cucked full of all sorts of antique items, nicely displayed and set off by certain types. However the items of the store don't seem to follow any particular theme or type other than the fact that everything in the store is of antique or at least of vintage. The better features of The Attic Antiques store is that all of the items appeared authentic, no reproduction, and everything priced well within reason. read more

If you want huge furniture, this is the place. No service to speak of so can't rate that. Not worth the drive.

While I'm leaning on a more 3.5 star experience, I'll give them that half a star because they're the embodiment of what I love about antique stores: everything everywhere always. I try to go to antique stores whenever I'm out of town, so I've been to them in Portland, Denton, Chattanooga, of course Atlanta, and a bunch of other places. This isn't the best I've seen by far, but it has that wonderful spirit of potential treasure beneath any book or in any nook. There were some cool items to be sure, like the gas masks (for real), vintage yearbooks, and a bunch of vintage furs (these always make me sad... those little beady eyes look so judgmental). I felt kind of rushed through here, since my friends didn't really seem interested, and I felt like I could definitely wander around for a good while. THE VERDICT: It really has an eclectic assortment of items, and I get the sense that they are always bringing new things in. It's definitely one of those stores that embraces the concept of a messy, cluttered, antique store. Those are, without a doubt, my favorite kinds of antique stores. I feel like there's so much personality in stores like this, and they still feel like a small business that sells a bunch of cool things that aren't currently being produced. I would visit again if I come back to Savannah. read more

Low prices for great items, and the owner is a very nice guy. I would suggest looking at the records, because he has some older and interesting ones. He also offers great vintage books from the 40's. read more
