Stopped in here to pick up some rounds for my 7 mm the day before opening and was really impressed…read more I've seen this place from the highway for years and driven past it, but this is the first time I've stopped in. They were great selection of hunting and fishing accessories and equipment and the staff is highly knowledgeable. I paid three dollars less for the box of rounds I picked up than I would normally pay in Grand Rapids, overall it was a really great experience! I will be back!

I agreed and said I'd just be using it to plink or target shoot. I commented that its small caliber would probably be easy for my wife to shoot as well. At that moment almost gleefully ( not exaggerating) she said "I can't sell you this gun because you're buying it for your wife". I was stunned. I said I wasn't buying it for my wife and said "I felt it was something my wife could handle as it was a small caliber" . She then said " What I heard is you're buying it for your wife". I was so shocked by the rudeness, brusque, way that she responded. I said thank you, grabbed my license and left. I'm 64, have been a FOID card from Illinois for over 30 years. I understand gun laws, and even saw the sign on the counter regarding the illegality of buying a firearm for someone else. Her attitude was unprofessional, irresponsible, and contemptible. What could have easily resulted in a 400. Sale resulted in nothing. When I returned home and told my wife we decided to check Yelp. Low and behold, what did we find? Check out Yelp when you can. Suffice it to say, we, and the dozens of friends and family members we tell will not patronize that store again. As a former carpenter we had a phrase fir someone not quite right in the head "a bubble off". This store should really consider keeping this individual, who was identified by another Yelp commenter, away from the public.
