Think there was a real fire, there is a 'pub' dog which makes regular appearances. It's an unofficial local nexus for Fence Records, the small indie label started by a friend of mine over a decade ago, and chances are if you pop in here on a Friday afternoon you might just run into someone you know. Over the years the Ship has seen its share of music, and like any local pub worth anything it has a healthy cast of regulars who'll you'll find propping up a bar stool everyday. The nautical theme is par for the course in this seaside village, but there are loads of really neat historical shots framed and hanging on the walls that are worth checking out if you're ever in there.
