I said that I am okay with also a light brown tone as long as it is not warm toned. They said that they can do that. A week before the appointment I had a consultation where they cut off a piece of my hair to test how well it will pick up the bleach. On the appointment day they said that the hair picked up the colour fine and we can proceed. They applied the bleach and waited. After a while they said that it won't be as light as expected. I said that's okay as long as my hair won't turn yellow. At that point I started to wonder what was the point of cutting a piece of my hair off in advance? Wouldn't they have tested how well it takes on the bleach? After 2h 40min of colouring my hair the result was shocking. It has a horrible brass under tone and is patchy. I can't believe I spent £203 for a brassy tone. Also the gradient is so subtle. I thought that going to a well known salon will give me a nice result. I didn't expect for the result to look like a flashback when I was 15 and bleached my own hair at home for the first time.

Katie was brusque and unfriendly, demanded to know what I wanted in ten seconds and then scraped and chopped at the back of my head in silence for twenty minutes as if she had somewhere more important to be, and I ended up looking significantly older than when I walked in with a dowdy cut straight out of Chat Magazine. She handed me over to Nick to fix it, saying "I have another client" (I had been exactly on time; she kept me waiting at several points so why this was my problem I'm not sure). Nick kind of fixed it and was nice about it, but it's still a total disappointment and I was made to feel like Katie's incompetence was my fault. Not at all worth the £50 I paid - I used to pay £45 in central London where I was treated like a human being and always walked out feeling fantastic. This time I walked out wanting to put on a hat and disappear. Go somewhere else instead of this place, where you'll be made to feel like an inconvenience and pay handsomely for a crappy cut you could have gotten anywhere for a fiver.

On arrival they were nice, friendly etc. Now my hair is (was) long. I asked for a trim no more than 2 inches and no layers. He totally chopped away at it. I now have hair that is all different lengths looks like it's been cut with blunt scissors and have layers up to my chin. My hair was waist length. Utter disgrace and they said he was the manager! Well I will never go back ruined my hair & there's nothing I can do about it! Don't go or if u do don't book with Gareth! Push products on to you as well

I've been going to this salon for the past 7 years - they've always treated me amazingly well. From…read morethe moment you pick up the phone to them, they're unfailingly helpful, and have some of the best hairdressers working for them that I've ever come across (and this is even though I went to a swanky hairdressers in Knightsbridge a few times!) To give a recent example: I booked online - a specific time and level of hairdresser - not long after I got a call saying I'd be upgraded free of charge as they had no-one in on that day of that level, and because I'd got the early-bird appointment, I had 20% off as well. If you add the fact that they do a really good coffee and you get a pretty decent head massage whilst they're shampooing, it tends to be a fairly relaxing appointment...and of course, as you'd expect from a salon like this, you come out with spectacularly good hair!
