My God he stunk so bad that we had to move to another table. Then some guy dressed like a rabbit cane in and ordered a drink. I praise the bartender for his keen observation skills, because Peter Rabbit soon wiped snot from his nose then dug his paws into snacks on the bar. The bartender quickly called him out for this most disgusting act. There was never a dull moment while here. And when the pints are delicious and the entertainment is free, you can't go wrong!

These dishes were well prepared and a hearty start to the day. I had two other meals here...a traditional Sunday carvery lunch and a pub meal of fish-n-chips. The Sunday carvery lunch was a potpourri of items and flavors. I chose a combination plate which had both roast beef and turkey served with gravy. Included on the plate were several different kinds of potatoes (mashed and fried), stuffing, mixed veggies and a Yorkshire pudding. We had a lovely cider to accompany the meal. The pub fish-n-chips turned out to be one of the best versions I had on the trip...moist, flaky cod served with great chips and some peas. The only trouble I had is that although it is in the middle of nowhere the road is quite busy and my room was nearest it and therefore very busy.
