First, her classes are awesome - straightforward and so informational. Cassie has a ton of experience and she shares her wealth of knowledge in such a clear and concise way. But more importantly, she was a voice of calm as she was our night doula 3x a week for the first month of my twins' lives. The first week, she came during the day just to help me get settled. I think a core memory for me will be waking up (4 days PP) after the longest nap of my life to Cassie serving me my lactation tea and reminding me to pump. For weeks 2-4, she came 3 nights a week and took care of all of the night feedings. Not only did she take AMAZING care of the babies, she was always there to support me and my husband. She had wonderful advice for everything from which probiotic to use, to which bottles work best for our babies. I truly cannot recommend Cassie enough. She helped us start our parenthood journey off strong. By the time she had to move on to her next client, my husband and I felt well equipped to take on every night on our own.

Although she couldn't be there our first night home, she made sure we had support from her Mom who also is a postpartum doula. She was able to help us until Cassie could start with us at our scheduled time. My daughter also had some tummy issues that we weren't sure about and Cassie recommended we bring in a diaper to get it tested with our pediatrician and she ended up being diagnosed with a dairy allergy. We would have never known to do that if it weren't for her. She is so sweet and makes you feel so comfortable as you navigate this next stage of life!

The larger Mama Bear Community has been extremely welcoming and keeps the sense of community going strong even after the classes are completed. I like that there are often experts invited to answer questions or give advice and they are selected based on what each group is most interested in learning! I don't want the makeup and show that some moms put on - I wanted people who would keep it real, and Ashley did a great job of fostering this kind of environment. I took the second time mom course at NMS in Yorba Linda, and I cannot recommend this series enough. The classes were structured around unique second time mom topics such as navigating toddler behavior and feelings with an added sibling, how your relationship with your spouse changes when you add a new baby and my favorite topic, picky toddler eating The topics were lead by experts in the fields of sleep training, feeding therapists, behavior consultants etc. and each consultant did a thorough job of answering our questions and concerns. I felt heard and understood in NMS Yorba Linda. I liked that these classes focused more on our growing family's dynamic rather than advice for newborns because, at least for me, that wasn't relevant anymore. What I needed was a community of women who just get it, the balancing act of having more than one small child. And I got that because of the second time mom series at NMS Yorba Linda.

As a new mom, this is just what I needed, a community of moms and experts who are going through similar things. The classes are structured to guide us, new moms, through the stages of toddlerhood. My child also loved interacting with all of the other toddlers, singing and story time. But her favorite was playtime! New mom school did an amazing job of keeping the toys clean and maintaining a clean environment for the children. I highly recommend new mom school for anyone, especially if you are needing support, a community or simply looking to talk to other moms.

Despite not being her client, Dr. Montalvo went out of her way to speak personally on the phone with me regarding some behavioral issues my step son is having. She gave so much helpful information that his dad and I have moved forward with the necessary help! Many other places we called, just brushed us off since they didn't take our insurance. I've taken two of their mommy-and-baby class series, and I loved both of them. Each series includes special touches like each week is a different topica mini photoshoot, a swim party, and so much more, which makes it absolutely worth every penny. Carmen, who helped lead the group, is amazing. She is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and always makes me feel heard. She gives thoughtful advice and truly cares about the moms and babies she works with. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does. I've also attended several music classes with Michelle, and those have been some of my favorites. My daughter absolutely loves music time, and Michelle does such a great job keeping the kids engaged and entertained. We truly love The Mommy Center and are so grateful for everything they offer!!

Prior to class, we had a group WhatsApp which made it so easy to communicate and get introduced to each other. I love that the center organized mommy outings for us, planned family picnics, as well as provided professional photography. I was never stressed out when I was at the center, knowing that there's a diaper station with plenty of diapers in many sizes, formula in case mamas forget to bring sustenance for baby, bottle warmers, and everything we need to feel comfortable. It felt above and beyond. I highly recommend trying one of several classes they offer! I'm excited to continue onto their 4-6 month old sessions and try out the baby music class.
