The duck soup is amazing and so is the pho! Didn't love the chicken rolls but otherwise everything we've tried has been delicious!

One of my favourite places ever! I can't wait for the next visit. Personal faves, are salad rolls, peanut chicken, calamari, and on and on.

Just had takeout and it was ok. Spring rolls and beef noodle soup. Not what I expected.

Amazing food. Healthy and delectable. Extensive vegetarian options. Top of my list for best restaurants in Prince George.

Bland food and fairly expensive. But it was ok. The staff was very polite and kind. Fun atmosphere.

Ivy's Family Kitchen - Black crusty spoon in the chilli

We were super stoked to try this place as we love pho. It was pretty busy and there was only one…read moreserver taking orders. There was another person delivering the orders to the table. The portions are about right for the style of food. I'm not sure if it was because of the amount of patrons vs. staff, but service was lacking. The waitress was friendly and kind, so that was a positive. After that it falls short starting with waiting quite a long time for them to notice our glasses were empty. We didn't get side plates when we ordered appetizers. The chilli bowls were crusted with black stuff, not sure how often the spoons/containers are changed out. I also didn't see them wipe down the spoons when they wiped down the tables. When you're done eating, but still have food you'd like to take home... they charge $1.50 for a to go container. So if you want to take home what you paid for, you have to pay more. So ... if you do go.... Bring your own take home container. We most likely won't be going back.

They have increased servers! It's unfair to judge Asian service to Canadian ones. Typical Asian…read moreservice w some extras. I ordered the house special-lemongrass pot hop and chicken with ehh roll and fried egg. Very decent at a reasonable price. The beef noodle is also good -bones simmering for 10hrs and no msg! With the difficulty in maintaining a Resto these days, much more family-run. Ivy's kitchen is good place for lunch or dinner.

Okay, I'll say it. I like Northern Palace! Sure, it's not "traditional" Chinese fare - quite…read morewesternized, I know. BUT, it's flavorful, it's plentiful and (for the price) very reasonable. We were in a large group so ordered one of their family dinner options plus some egg foo yung and extra rice. Everything came fairly quickly and filled the big, round table we were seated at. The Lazy Susan in the middle was handy and used well. The egg foo yung I wanted was excellent! It had great flavor and a tangy sauce. The other dishes I tried, chow mein, egg roll, lemon chicken, sweet & sour pork, beef & broccoli were all equally tasty and stayed hot. The only fault I could find was the pork was a little tough. Everything else, though, was really good. The restaurant has been around a while, so it's a little dark and dank, but looks every bit like what you'd expect a Chinese restaurant to look like. The service is super friendly and efficient. We enjoyed our family gathering and will come back again.

Looking at the menu and seeing how dismally north americanized it was for the price, I asked them if they could make.my food spicy..and they said no! They gave me a side of siracha instead. If you're going to charge sit-down prices, at least have something interesting or maybe even authentic on the menu!
