Thales is A-OK. They have a nice menu, with reasonable prices, and cute staff. Our food and drinks came fast and our orders were correct and to expectation. I liked that they didn't have any music playing loudly inside, as most were out for happy hour and having enthusiastic conversations at a nice volume.
Nothing spectacular to say about the place, though, and personally I was not very satisfied with my falafel salad. As soon as I started eating it I wished I had ordered something else. It just didn't have any flavor and consisted of only tomatoes, falafel, and greens. I think it could have used cheese or anything else really, just to spice it up a little. It's always a bit disappointing when the dish you order is something you could have just as easily made at home.
Also, I tried to pay with credit card it was declined. It was an American card that I know works here, but the waiter did not seem interested in figuring out the problem (and didn't speak English). I'm sure he could have just adjusted the setting on the machine but I digress. Thus I can't say that this place is the best idea for tourists.
Will probably go back and wouldn't complain if I'm invited, but it's not really an attractive choice among other places in the area. read more
