Every client I've seen, met with and gone out to dinners with all want the German experience. While I like sausage and snitzel, unfortunately it gets old quick. I've always loved Thai food. Been to Thailand twice and if you've read my reviews you know I regularly post reviews on Thai places all over the world. This is unbelievable. Truly a diamond. The menu is in German only, since I don't speak Thai or read German it could have being a quick turn around. Luckily I know my thai food, Pad Kee Mao, the lady behind the counter knew I was talking about and I paid up. Food came out really quickly even though it is a two ladies, two cook station setup. They seem to do a lot of take-outs for locals, and it got pretty cramped with locals getting "super noodles" and others. The Pad Kee Mao I got didn't have all 5 components of thai food, it was a European version of it, but they saved it by having all of the right condiments (fish sauce, chilis, peanuts, vinegar, and others) on the table. For the price point, location, and everything given, this was a pretty good spot, I can see why the locals keeping packing this place.

Originally we had planned to grab something from a bakery forgetting it was a holiday we were unable to do this and after a good hour or so of walking we got incredibly hungry. Randomly we stumbled across My Thai. They were accommodating allowing us to have our dog with us while we ate (our dog acts up around food so we chose to sat outside on the covered terrace which also had patio heaters so was nice and warm) We ordered the food extra hot and it swiftly came out. My Green curry was surprisingly well balanced, as normally when I eat at western Thai places they are lacking on the fish sauce and I end up having to add a table spoon or so to balance it out. My girlfriends red curry however was not balanced at all and need a couple of table spoons of Fish Sauce to help it on its way. The portion sizes here are massive and I left feeling very full. I'm pretty sure you could order one dish between 2 and be satisfied. Would head back here if I happen to be in Bad Soden again.

It started off with the front girl not being very pleasant to deal with....but who cares as long as the food is good. I ordered the Khao soi and requested it with beef. Was told no can only have with chicken. Fine chicken it is! Asked for a thai tea and a water. I get the Thai Tea and it is not Thai Tea. It was some form of disgusting americanized sweet tea. I have had hundreds of thai tea's and this was not it. I spoke with the girl to let her know and she said this is always how it is made....nope its not. It's brewed black tea with spices with condensed milk added to sweeten. The drink that was given to me was nowhere close and all I got was a condescending tone from her when I tried explaining this wasn't what I wanted. I sent the whole thing back full. Now to the Khao Soi. Maybe the people working are not from Northern Thailand because this was the furthest thing from Khao soi as well. No egg noodles were used. No crispy egg noodle on top. No pickled greens. No lime. And served on a plate not a bowl. No spice or flavor, very bland. The water was delicious though to wash the bland taste out of my mouth. Waste of 15 euros.

Once I get past the unbalancedness (oh wow that is a word!) of the curry, it's rather tasty. I just have to request more fish sauce upon ordering. I normally opt for a red curry as I hate thai basil in most green curries, and it is fairly consistent every time I order it. I have not ordered anything else off of the menu, however. I recommend this place as a lunch spot in Rodelheim. I will never make it a point to eat here at dinner or to take friends here, but after a long morning, it is a nice and centralized spot to meet my boyfriend for lunch and know exactly what I'm going to get.

I go here fairly often with my girlfriend, we always order the same dishes, her a red curry, myself a green curry, once you add in the correct amount of fish sauce you end up with a relatively tasty meal. I'm not gonna be taking people here for dinner as a show case for Frankfurt food but its ok for a quick lunch where you know what you will get. As someone who has taken some Thai cooking classes in Bangkok, I can tell you that their green curry is probably as close as you can get to the actual Thai dish by using ingredients available here in Frankfurt. We love that this restaurant is also dog friendly, as we bring our dog in to eat with us. They always offer our dog a bowl of water. Like I said, the people at this restaurant are genuinely good people. This place is worth trying if you get the chance.
