Fish was pretty good quality, years better than most other places around (yet not as good as in coastal town, no surprise though). The cuts of fish were pretty good sized, not that super thin crap you get at the cheap places where it's mostly rice. The mini round river with boats and Sushi on top at the central bar was really cute. We ordered off the menu though, got the second largest Set with sashimi, nigiri, rolls... Everything was delicious, especially loved the one roll and their thick sashimi pieces. Added 2 maki rolls and one handroll, also all very good. We were both full at the end of the meal. Food plus 1 bottle of water came out at €54. So basically €27/person for great sushi, definitely fair price and totally worth it. It's not a huge place, I can see it get really busy on the weekends so you might want to make a reservation. We were there during the week for dinner and it was about 2/3rds full. Price: A little on the high side but much better quality than other places I tried. The best sushi place I tried in Heidelberg, but you are paying for it.

For starters, the otoro is a premium cut of bluefin tuna that runs about €20-25 and the cuts were jagged, the fish barely tasted fresh and the overall quality didn't match expectations. The wasabi didn't taste like it was made in house & the ginger also did not taste very fresh, so minus a star there. Service was very good. I did notice one of the sushi chefs blowing their nose under the counter and did not wash their hands afterwards and pick up rolls directly after doing it, which I thought was pretty disgusting given we have COVID going on, but all kitchens tend to have a few dirty secrets so no minus there, would just caution what you are eating. I also ate Tako nigiri (octopus) and can say this was also not prepared very well / was over boiled and they covered it in too much plum sauce which masked the taste. If you are looking to have a nice date and are unsure what good sushi tastes like, you will love this place. If you are looking for fresh fish that tastes superb, then keep looking. It is a nice restaurant again but when it comes down to the details of great tasting food, sanitation and fresh ingredients, they lose a star for each.

That made me turned off from the beginning. Not to mention that the rotating mechanism is not cooled so it's a bunch of sushi sitting out for at least over two hours which is how long I sat there. Ordered the all you can eat. Got full, so two stars. The service was quick and friendly. I wish the food was better. I'm pretty sure that every meat we ordered that was cooked was fried, even the salmon. Super disappointed to spend over €30 for just myself.
