Amazing food and even better owners. My wife and I had a pre-wedding get together here in May 2022. Places were just reopening from covid and we were glad to see this jewel still in business. We talked to Doreen and Phinit a few days before it happened and Doreen painstakingly cleaned, laid out tables, and decorated the place. It looked lovely. Phinit gave us options for the food and we ended up having a whole bunch of delicious appetizers, his vegan duck, beef massaman, chicken green curry, and shrimp... to name a few. Dessert was a family recipe coconut cake that was absolutely stellar. its still in the freezer for the anniversary! The food is always excellent and so is the service... but what is best about this place is how they make you feel like family and just do everything to take care of you. Some pictures are attached, though they dont do justice! I would highly recommend stopping here for a meal, or asking them to help host your next event. The Thai foods always my first choice, I Ofer takeaway seafood salad, fish cake and spring roll, that was so good!

Thai Tulips was recommended to us by the motel we are staying at just up the road, so we decided to visit for a takeaway meal. The restaurant itself looks lovely but was empty (on a Wednesday night in the small town of Bundaberg, so not overly surprising). We ordered our food from the menu and enjoyed the pleasant seating area while we waited. The staff were lovely, and I'm sure would provide great service if you ate in the restaurant. The food was ready pretty quickly - in around 10 minutes. When we tucked in, it was absolutely delicious. My red Thai curry with tofu was very tasty, with just the right amount of heat, blended with Thai spices. It could have done with a little more tofu, but was packed with fresh veg. The coconut rice was sweet and maybe a little overcooked, but that happens to be just how I like it. The curry puffs were deliciously crisp on the outside, and although the chilli sauce seemed ready-made, it went very well with the pasties. I really loved the food from Thai Tulips and would thoroughly recommend it if you're in the area looking for a takeaway meal. read more

Absolutely no Thai flavor. All curries were watered down coconut milk. They were very bland tasting. All the meat in the different dishes were pink in the center, very under cooked. The service was mediocre. The best part about that place was the cold ice water. Would not recommend at all. read more

Went here from a recommendation from Trip Advisor and Yelp. Specifically wanted to try the Beef Massaman Curry that was highly recommended from reviews. Also, had the crunchy pork and the red curry with chicken. The service is good, the meals are large, and the red curry was the best dish on the table. read more

Four of us went to dinner on a Monday night. The ambiance was pleasant and the food was quite decent, however we were appalled at the long necked turtle being made to suffer and spend its life in a 2.5 foot glass aquarium with no real room to swim around and no greenery. It was a very distressing sight and in our opinion totally unnecessary. We would go back for the food, but not until the turtle was in a more humane aquarium. Sadly the RSPCA won't send an inspector out and doesn't care about it. Disgusting. read more
