Located almost like it's in the middle of nowhere lol. The dining area is pleasant. Food was very good. Sauce for the appetizers was fantastic. The duck was crispy and had a good texture to it with the curry sauce. What was strange to me was the fact that the entrees, such as the duck w/ curry, did not come with white rice included. Delicious food, great portions. An absolute family favorite! The restaurant is comfortable with plentiful parking.

The portions are small for the price but they have the best tasting Thai/asian food in the area, by far! And the taste is always consistent. We've only gotten take out from them but the service has always been great. read more

After spending a year in South Korea, my husband was really craving some Asian food but living in Germany means trial and error to find something that would satisfy those cravings. He asked around for some recommendations and a few people came back with Thai Orchidee in Dudledorf, just a 10 minute drive from base. We did notice that the patrons were mostly military members, so this had to be the place his coworkers recommended. Located off of the B50 with a mildly sharp left turn into the gravel parking lot, which is very narrow so be careful. We decided to try it on a Sunday evening, when most places in Germany are closed. We didn't have to wait for a table, they just directed us to the back to find a table. Unfortunately, we sat for almost 10 minutes before the server noticed she had a new table even though she ran right back to a group that came in after us, giving them menus in under a minute. She assumed that the older lady helping her had already helped us. I was just a little upset because she saw sit down, because she was serving the table right next to us. Anyhow... we finally got our menus and perused the offerings. They have everything from soups, noodles, beef, chicken and pork, as well as a few vegetarian options. We decided on the beef pad Thai(#95) and the chicken pad wusen(#96). I asked for no tofu because ew, gross and hubs asked for extra chicken. It took about 15 minutes for our orders to arrive and when they did, I noticed a few things that weren't right. First... notice I said beef pad Thai with no tofu, my order came out as chicken pad Thai with a few tofu chunks and his order didn't seem to have any extra chicken. Not a big deal, but I know it's not hard to get those tiny request right. I picked out the tofu and gave it to my husband because whatever. We decided not to say anything about the orders because they weren't super wrong and I felt like there may have only been one person in the back. The pad Thai was really tasty and had a lot of flavor, just enough spice and the noodles weren't over cooked, something if I've experienced at places like Panvimarn in Long Beach. My husbands dish was so tasty and had delicious blend of spices and chili even though I am not a fan of vermicelli noodles at all. Because we were at a Thai place, I obviously had to get Thai tea because it's my favorite. Let me tell you! It was FRESH brewed black tea man was it amazing. Definitely not a powder blend that you find at most Thai restaurants and I was a fan. I ended up having 2 glasses because I couldn't get enough. It wasn't too sweet, and was perfectly creamy. Overall I would definitely come back but maybe on a night that's less busy so maybe our orders come out correctly and the server isn't as overwhelmed by how many tables she's got by herself. I did love that it was ran by an older couple who handled everything themselves because it gave you the "from home" feel. We throughly enjoyed our meal and will be back for sure, even grabbed a menu so we can order for takeout because who doesn't enjoy eating Thai food in the pjs at home haha. 4 stars for the incorrect order and wait time but definitely a great place for Thai in Germany (^_^) read more

Weve been a customer for 4 years and always enjoyed our food. However within the past 6 months I saw a decline in service. Last night was disappointing beyond belief as a loyal customer. There hasnt been any competition within the immediate area for them. We ordered to go, 3 entrees and a chicken sate as appetizer. The bill was over 60€. When we got home to my dismay, the portions were extremely small, NOT EVEN HALF OF THE TO GO CONTAINER was filled, to top it off it was mostly vegetables and very few meat. I think they gave us the kids meals and they dont even have that option! This was disappointing as a customer, given the price and how much we really enjoyed the food. I can't tell you what I ordered because I forgot. These dishes were sooooooooo good though. I'm just mad I didn't find this place earlier in my time in Columbus. I found it 2 weeks before I left! I've only been here a week and have already been here twice! I'm shocked there is a Thai restaurant that is this good so close to base! You really can't miss it, though the location isn't quite accurate on Yelp. You never have to wait for a table and the food is pretty good! I got the red curry the first time, but I REALLY like their sweet and sour dishes! I've also been told their pad thai is good, and that their Poa Pia (spring rolls) and Giew Thood Grob (wantons) are amazing! Definitely check this restaurant out if you're craving thai food! read more

I'm writing this in English since it seems to be most frequented by the local Americans. This is a fabulous Thai restaurant. The food is authentic, delicious, and made with incredibly fresh products. The staff is friendly, and the prices are hard to beat. We have dined here probably 15 times and always leave satisfied. My favorites include: Any of their curry dishes (ask them to make it hot!) Was TDY at spang and this place was recommended. Let me tell you it did not disappoint. Great Thai food. The number 82 and 86 were a favorite for my group, so much so that we took another order to go. Definitely recommend if you are close and love Thai food. They are closed on mondays so keep that in mind we wanted it a second day in a row and couldn't but will def be back Tuesday lol. read more

This place is good for Thai in the Eifel. As Andreas says, this place is frequented by the Americans from the local airbase (including me). This place has all of the Thai dishes that you were missing when you came to Germany. read more

Thai curry can use a little more sweetness to it, phat Thai taste was good but I felt like it was pre made and held hot based on the wilting of the veggies. Thai beef salad had good taste but it's literally Thai marinade beef on a garden salad with Thai dressing. not sure if it's worth the 5.40 for an appetizer. overall, if I lived here, I might come again but most likely I can produce the same quality at home. nothing really special about this place... read more

I loved this place when I was stationed at Spangdahlem AB. Now that I'm separated I find myself thinking about this restaurant all the time. The pad Thai is to die for! I used to get the spicy glass noodle salad for app every time and can't in it here in the states. Can anyone please find that on the menu when you're there and let me know what the name for it is? Love that I can enjoy Thai food in the countryside. I asked them to make my curry "Thai hot" and they did make it hot but it was definitely not Thai hot. Haha. Probably because they aren't used to that request and people can't handle the level of "hot" as is. read more

I have enjoyed this restaurant many times and have always enjoyed it. A large menu guarantees that everyone in your party is happy. The menu also includes lunch specials. The staff is friendly and helpful in navigating some of the lesser known dishes. Although the restaurant does not have a separate area it is able to accommodate larger parties (20-25 people) and has even been known to close the restaurant for special events.
