I reviewed another place recently and lamented that every Thai placed I've tried so far since moving from Kansas City has just been "OK" but look no further. The absolute BEST pad see ewe I've had in a long time. No notes. I got tofu instead of chicken, spice level hot, and it was savory, spicy, and umami in the best ways. The broccoli was crisp and bright and the thai basil amount was perfect. Hot was perfect. Plenty spicy without sacrificing flavor. I also got the egg rolls. They were more traditionally what you'd find at a Chinese takeout place but the filling was perfect. If you've ever had the egg rolls from Fried Rice, they're very close to those and I didn't even need the sweet and sour it came with. I'll be thinking about this place for a while! read more

A "hole in the wall" Thai restaurant located on West street, a few blocks north of the Central and West intersection. Very limited seating, about 12 seats, and you come out smelling like stir fry. Quick and friendly service. Better option for carry out. I always order the Paad Kee Mao with chicken and order it with the hot spice level. Depending on who is cooking the spice level can be a little inconsistent. However, the noodles are always cooked well and it is not as oily as other restaurants, which I appreciate. My fiancé and I stopped in here on a road trip from OKC to KC - we found the place on an online Wichita journal which listed it as the best Thai place in the city. It did NOT disappoint - it was fantastic. Probably the best Thai food we have ever had. We loved the green curry (#29) and also the paad see ewe - we got them both "hot," and the noodles were almost too hot for us, but not quite. And the green curry was perfect. We are so happy we stopped here - despite its humble appearance, the food is very high quality. We definitely would recommend! Thai house is one of my favorite thai restaurants in wichita. The flavors are amazing, and the portions are decent sized. My boyfriend and I almost always have leftovers. you do need to be careful with the spice level, I ordered medium my first time and i could not eat it without downing a few glasses of water with it. Definitely try their pad thai. There is not dining area so everything is to-go. After you order, you just wait in your car and they bring it to you. I've never done a review for Thai House. Which surprises me because we've had it about a hundred times. My girlfriend introduced me to Thai House because her family has been coming here since it opened. In fact, I really hadn't ever tried Thai food. "You HAVE to try the paad Thai!" My girlfriend cautioned me on the spice level that I order. Thai Hot is not something to be messed with. Sometimes whenever I order hot, I think I'm flirting with the Thai hot. One of these days. Today I ventured off the usual paad Thai and got the paad kee mao. I HIGHLY recommend this! Reminds me of a paad Thai drunken noodle mix. Spice level was right where I wanted it to be and I definitely enjoyed the broccoli and tomatoes mixed in!!! Don't let the interior/exterior deter you. If there is a table open, I highly encourage you to done in. There are only 2-3 tables. The owner and employees are very friendly and definitely love to chat up their customers. Very good! We will go back many times. I had the pad kee mao with chicken and it was delicious, chicken was so flavorful and the basil gave it amazing flavor. My husband had the pad see eew with pork, which he also really liked. Both were very good, we both argue that our dish was better than the other. My husband liked the egg rolls and we both loved the crab rangoon, which tasted savory and fresh. Thai House is one of my favorite places to eat in Wichita. You wouldn't expect much from it's location in an old strip mall, but it truly is a hidden treasure. It is a tiny place with barely enough room to seat 12. They mostly focus on carry out orders and their customer service is better than anywhere I've ever been. I go maybe once a month but somehow the cashier remembers what I get every time and calls it out before I even get a chance to order. I tend to stick with the Pad Thai with Chicken and I've never been let down but they have a full menu with lots of great dishes. read more

One of my favorites and this location does it right to my taste. They make it as hot as you want or simply on the side to adjust accordingly. The noodles are swimming in sauce. Very lite at first and then once your done savoring the flavored it starts sitting solidly in your stomach. The crab rangoon are creamy and very good. The filling seems different than most places I go. This time around I ordered the cashew chicken too. A first for me from this establishment since I was ravenous. It wasn't my favorite. I found it lacking bulk and more focused on sauce and rice. However, I appreciate that the chicken isn't fried like some cashew chickens I get from restaurants. The family is friendly and speedy for both dine in and carry out orders. Everything is made to order so it's worth the 5-10 minutes to wait. The portions are generous and the price is in the right ballpark for similar restaurants. If you want Thai in Wichita I recommend. Even if you have to go a little out of your way.
