My meal was really tasty and tasted very authentic. The tofu was also very good! I also had the Thai tea which was delicious. The restaurant itself is really nicely decorated and the service was fast. We made a reservation to sit at one of the Thai Tables, even though there is a hole underneath to put your legs through so it isn't really a traditional "sit-on-the-floor" type of situation. The only complaint I have is that meal sizes are a bit too small for the price. I don't have the largest appetite in the world but I still left feeling not 100% full. But maybe that's just because my meal was good and I wanted more of it

FOOD: If you've been in Thailand already, this place is a direct ticket back ther. If you haven´t, it is the perfect occassion to start diving into the culture. TIP: Pump it up by asking for an fried egg on top! PLACE: This is not a romantic place or area, so don´t plan your 1 year anniversary here. But it is the perfect place to have a quick lunch if you live or work in the area. Sabai Jai is my number 1 lunch place during work days. It is a restaurant for such occassions and not really for nights out or special events (bear that in mind). There is also a lot of parking available all the time and an Ubahn stop minutes if not seconds away. The restaurant is also very traditional, just watch out for little thai traditions here and there. SERVICE: I am still not sure about how friendly the staff is, but then again my expectations are pretty low in Germany. Somehow I feel they are always off in space instead of focusing 100% on the customer and a smile here and there would do no harm. However this is part of the whole experience at this restaurant. I have had multiple disappointing exchanges with him in the few times I have been back this year already. The food has also taken a turn for the worse. Once when an item on the menu said cashews or raisins, it actually came with them. Now you are lucky if you get more than two of each. The vegetable portion of the meals now consists mainly of just onions (loads of them) and peppers. What happened to the healthy portion of broccoli, bamboo, coriander? Come on guys! Where is the love?! The restaurant needs real glasses, not plastic cups for our drinks. Lastly, the use of salt in all meals is excessive. I was a long time fan of bok but recently have only had disappointments there. I won't be returning any time soon unfortunately.
