Not only did they have a massive selection of magazines, it (almost) equally catered to German and international customers with multiple languages. There were also books for adults and children, and all those miscellaneous convenience items that are so easily forgotten or accidentally put in your checked luggage (travel adaptors, batteries). They have language guides and travel books for locations throughout the world, as well as sweet treats and souvenirs. Germans are known for their advanced planning and organization, but for many of us, Checkout has all the bases covered if we arrive at the airport in slightly less prepared fashion.
