We were looking for a way to build a unique home, different than the more common styles built across north Texas today. We loved the Mid-Century Style of architecture but we also wanted to keep a rural Texas feel since we are living out in the country. Jonathan Bethune did an excellent job capturing the look and feel of the house as well as creating an incredible floor plan that makes excellent use of space. The building process proceeded timely and it was clear from the beginning that the quality of work was very important to the team. We experienced an excellent job of keeping the work going even during very wet days and weeks. The end product is a very well constructed home that we feel is efficient and beautiful. Jennifer Bethune really helped bring the interior style of the house. She was very available to choose wood, paint, countertops, tile and many of the other surface areas that really added to the beauty of the home. I first called Lane and he answered and talked to me for over an hour about how he was the right chose and he was local and could meet any time! After going back and forth way too many times, because he did not understand what it was trying to say in a text, I asked to meet to get it all resolved. He then informed me (after collection his deposit) that he does not meet with his clients only through text and email. I could type a 100-page book on how unprofessional and uncooperative he was, but I am going to just leave it at this, RUN from this guy!!! Our home used to be an Airbnb, and we've used many cleaners to help manage the cleaning of the property between guests and to help us care for our home while we were living in it. I asked for a quote for a deep clean of our 4 bedroom, 3 bath home. He replied with the lowest bid - at $225. I knew this was low, even though it was roughly 30% higher than our standard bi-monthly cleaning, but I made the assumption he may be new and giving discounted rates to retain customers. I let him know this was a deep clean before we list our home to show it. That was my mistake. He left cobwebs on mirror vanities, didn't clean under any of our nightstands or furniture. He missed our laundry room entirely. The area around the dog bowl hadn't been cleaned. Nor the corners of the kitchen cabinets and the trim along the back door. Our bedroom looked as if it hadn't been vacuumed or mopped. The baby's room shelving still had dust on it, and we filled an entire vacuum just doing the upstairs. The stair railings were missed, not a baseboard was addressed and we had no cleaning of cabinets or anything outside of counters and surfaces. Our cleaners, who charge between $129-$169 for bi-monthly cleans do a more sufficient job. When I communicated my concerns, he suggested he cleaned all surfaces and that the home just got dirty because of the children and dog. To which I replied that wasn't our experience in the past. The pictures are just a handful of areas that were left untouched. And, he will gaslight you entirely when you bring up your concerns.
