What a great find!! My wife and I have been looking all over Houston for a unique dining table…read more My wife really likes the modern farmhouse motif. We have been looking for several months. Little did we know that we'd find the perfect table in our backyard. We found The Market Station on Instagram and Facebook (TheMarketStation). My wife saw a table on their social media page that she really wanted to go see. She fell in love with it immediately. Not only did she find a table she likes but, much to my chagrin, found other pieces she liked as well. If I'm honest, I also liked several other pieces in their store as well. The owner (Cathy Young) is on-site and very personable. When we bought the table, we didn't need it delivered. However, if you need delivery, I think they offer local delivery through a third party. Bottom line - A fantastic furniture and decor store that offers a variety of larger furniture pieces as well as artwork and other decor. Definitely worth a visit if you're in "the market."

The worst part, the owner will make you feel super guilty if you leave without buying anything. Its extra annoying when all the shops in the area are priced to the moon. I can't speak for service I didn't check out. I didn't see anything worth buying. I basically came to kill thumb while me child was at a party next door. They have plenty of seasonal stuff. This place has nothing local that would make for a special keepsake after visiting the area. It is a housewares store that carries Tyler Candles (from East Texas), pajamas- nothing representative of the local area, soap- again not local, and overpriced houseware items such as a huge mermaid tail and wine glasses. The store is big but the merchandise does not fill up the store. We really wanted to spend money on something and couldn't find one thing that served our purpose for stopping. The items offered are similar to HomeGoods or Marshall's, at least very similar in look but with an price tag that didn't match the quality. A stop here with your family hoping to find local artisan souvenir items will leave you disappointed. This store lacks an authentic offering that represents the area.

I had the intention of just buying necessary items and I left with Halloween candies, a mug, a cute pink hat, a holiday reef, and storage bins for the refrigerator! The workers are very sweet and I advise you to adhere to the honor code and remember these people are working for themselves and their family.
