My boyfriend got his deceased father's new TV shipped from Arkansas to Virginia. It was one of the…read morefew things that he could take home with him that was something of his father's. When he went to get it shipped, he specifically said that he would pay any amount of money to make sure the TV got shipped safely. The lady said bubble wrapping paper would be perfectly fine. So he paid the $45 for shipping. He got insurance on the TV. It arrived last week with a big dent in the screen. We turned it on and the TV was ruined. He called and the manager told him he could make a claim. Granted, he did not even mention that my bf had the option to just get a refund. He made a claim and it got denied even though the lady that passed the inspection assured him that his TV would be shipped with no issues. Not only did ups destroy my boyfriend's deceased father's TV, they stole his money. We will NEVER be using UPS shipping again and I really hope someone can reach out and give me advice on what we can do because that was straight up robbery. This is how you treat your customers? You set them up to get their stuff destroyed and then you keep their money? Is there a higher up that I can reach out to because I am furious that this happened.
