I didn't get to see inside office, restrooms or showers with rain. We left early the next day in pretty weather .We saw another Koa very close to this one. There is a Walmart near by.

Back in sites have nice shade.

Easy on and off. A small playground with sand for the kids. Laundry and bathroom. The nicest staff you could ever want. They were incredibly accommodating and helpful. Our back-in site was nicely shaded. Each pull in has it's own picnic table and porch swings are scattered throughout. Only complaint- the wifi reception was too poor to be of use. We didn't use the cable but the registration desk made it clear that it is often spotty as well. Digital antennae work well. Near restaurants and shopping. Great spot for rolling through. Traffic noise is moderate thanks to trees.

This was one of the highlights of our Arkansas trip while visiting family from our Florida home…read morebase. For anyone unfamiliar, this is the only diamond mine in the world open to the public where you can actually keep what you find. Some surprisingly large diamonds have been discovered here over the years, so there's always that tiny bit of hope that keeps you searching. What surprised me most was the layout. For some reason I expected caves or mining tunnels, but it's actually a huge open field where visitors search, dig, sift, and surface hunt. We paid $45 total admission for 3 people and thankfully already had equipment provided by our rental house (checkout Punkin's place in Murfreesboro, Arkansas on Airbnb) because you can absolutely spend extra renting tools onsite if needed. We started with wet sifting before moving into dry and surface searching. There were a few muddy sections from recent rain, but overall the conditions were great during our May visit. Slightly overcast skies with an occasional drizzle made the weather perfect for being outside. I honestly can't imagine doing this in the middle of a blazing hot summer afternoon. I had read reviews from people saying they left exhausted, but we approached it a little differently due to some back and shoulder limitations. We worked smart, paced ourselves, and still had a fantastic time. We didn't find diamonds that day, but we did leave with some beautiful rocks and a really fun experience. We would absolutely do this again!

Ours came with a grill, smoker, and fire pit, which made cooking stupid easy. The bathrooms were super clean, and the owners couldn't be friendlier--seriously, they make the place feel like home. If you need firewood, swing by site 27 and grab some from the owner there if he's got stock. We left our kayaks by the launch with zero issues, which was a huge plus. The campsites themselves are big, spacious, and peaceful. There is a train that rolls through twice a night, but aside from that it's quiet and relaxing. Overall, we loved it and would absolutely come back.

Located on the Big Cypress Bayou, the scenery is gorgeous. Two years ago, we stayed in the Couple's Cabin. It has great upper and lower decks. This time, with Reesa and Ricky, we stayed in the Texas 2 Step. Dual connecting cabins. Loved it. There's also about 30 or 40 RV spots. There's a private boat ramp. Riverbend Outfitters keeps kayaks here for rent. We've gone kayaking twice. It's fun, relaxing, and beautiful. The owners are very friendly and attempt to solve any problem you might have. The cabins are big and comfortable. They have satellite tv and WiFi. A full kitchen makes mealtime easy. Be warned, cell service here is terrible. You are out in the middle of nowhere! We have absolutely loved our stays here, and will definitely return. Check their website!
