Since we have been traveling to Lahaina, Wailuku and Ka'anapali for touring and dining, we were on the look out for a gas station that was the least expensive. Gasoline is more expensive in Kihei than in the SF Bay Area. I'm glad we found this gas station, as the price was $4.09 a gallon. Our first time was to fill up the tank...about $46.00. Second visit was yesterday - to top off the tank before returning the rental car back Avis. Cost: $15.00. The gas pumps are modern looking and the natives (employees) are friendly...lol.

Tesoro Hawaii Corporation is a conveniently-located gas station directly off Dairy Road in Kahului…read more There are always pumps open. I've never had to wait to fill up. They are also open 24/7, which is a nice perk, because you never have to remember what their hours are. The quality of gasoline at Tesoro is also really good, and my favorite thing about them is that they were one of the first gas stations to offer E-0 or non-ethanol grade fuel which is easier on automobile engines (especially for older cars) and preferable for small engines you use around the house (i.e. lawnmowers and weedwackers). When I started filling up one of my older sports cars and the farm truck with the Tesoro non-ethanol fuel, it was a noticeable difference that I could feel. They both idled smoother and just seemed to run much better.

We drove all the way from Haiku to get our safety and after a couple of minutes of non-responsiveness one of the agents waved us off first. I went to see the agent and asked him if he could do the safety. He told me he was closed early because he could not finish the safeties he had until 4 o'clock. There were two cars in the location. The average safety takes less than 10 minutes to do. He refused to do the safety, even though we explained to him, we drove from another part of the island. When I told him I thought I was there a little bit before 3:30 he quickly yelled out Hourse Shit and walked away from me. My partner who made a special trip for the safety, decided she would ask him if he could make an exception that was not a pleasant decision. The businesses agent was beyond rude, vulgar and sexually aggressive with gestures in his private parts and showing his Butt to my girlfriend after he refused . This is a man of over 65 years old and this is the best he could do with a small dispute after this verbal abuse. An obscene gestures. My 60+ panter went back to the car .
