He was kind, got me in and went above and beyond to make sure I was safe on the road. (PS, he's likely playing with the price). They have all kinds of tires so they will likely have what's needed.

To make a long story short my daughter let a friend park her spare vehicle in our yard when she…read moremoved out of the area and thought it would be reclaimed in several months. No problem at the time since she was given the keys and asked to drive it occasionally. Fast forward several years, the insurance lapsed, the registration is not current and we need to have the vehicle moved so we can finally replace the roof of our house that was damaged by Hurricane Florence last September. Due to not using the vehicle the battery was dead making the vehicle inoperable. We found that AAA won't touch a vehicle if it cannot legally be driven on public streets. We made arrangements for a vehicle transport carrier to take the car from NC to RI where the owner currently lives. The problem at hand was how to get the vehicle from our yard to a parking lot where the Vehicle Carrier could park and load the car. TO THE RESCUE - Tim Edens with Holly Ridge Auto Service assured our daughter that he could get the 2015 Porsche into neutral and tow it to the Lowes parking lot for loading. He was knowledgeable and great to work with. The morning that the transport vehicle arrived Tim came to the house and not only got the vehicle into neutral but was able to jump the battery so the Porsche could be driven onto the transport trailer after he had towed it to the agreed upon location. We want to spread the word that Holly Ridge Auto Service gets a true five star rating! They advertise 24 hour towing service, auto repairs, new & used tires, used car sales, and salvage parts. This is one business card we will hang onto..

Robie arrived quickly after the initial call was made, shorter time than estimated. He drove very safely south to Wilmington airport where he waited for us to get a new rental car so we would safely have a ride home and not be stranded at the car dealership where the car was to be towed, which of course was closed since it's a Sunday. Made a super frustrating situation go as smoothly as possible.

Absolutely Predatory and Unethical - Avoid Johnny's Towing at All Costs…read moreI was recently in a car accident about 10 miles from Wallace, still shaken up when the state trooper called Johnny's Towing on my behalf. In the fog of the moment, I agreed to the tow without realizing I was about to be taken for a ride--literally and financially. Johnny's towed my car to his own shop, then promised to drop it at my preferred location the next day. The new location was just a short drive away--local to the area--but when I got the bill, I was stunned to see a $425 charge. For what? A basic local tow with no special handling, no after-hours service, no added complications. This is pure price gouging--taking advantage of people at their most vulnerable. There was no clear explanation, no itemized breakdown, just a massive bill I was expected to swallow without question. If you're in an accident or stranded near Wallace, do yourself a favor: do not let law enforcement call Johnny's Towing. Insist on a reputable company that won't exploit you when you're already dealing with enough. This place operates more like a scam than a service.

Since I live in Florida, I do not expect to again need Johnny's services, but I highly recommend this company and my niece will call if she should need any roadside assistance. The company is efficient, caring and compassionate.
