This Tesla service center continues to provide less than subpar service on our Model S. We have been in and out of this location (our only option in the area) after they had to disassemble our vehicle (battery swap) and failed to properly put it back together again. Several issues: charge port not working, air leak in the drivers window, and lastly a weird whirling sound in the engine itself. We brought it in this morning and despite having an appointment, they would only address one issue; the charger. I offered to leave it as long as they needed to get everything done and they refused. I don't even need a loaner car. Now we'll have to make more trips over the grade and hope that they get it right. I have no confidence they will and don't even feel comfortable driving it at this point. Had I known how awful Teslas service was in general, I never would have bought this vehicle straight out. As soon as it's "fixed" I'm selling it. read more

Tesla is always an easy experience for me. I had to get a tire repaired due to a flat that occured on my way home from Anehiem. That was also awesome put in a request in the app a technician showed up in 20 minutes with a loaner tire and had it installed and the damaged tire loaded in my trunk as well as scheduled the repair appointment at my local Tesla Service station. The whole experience only offset my trip by 30 minutes before I was back on the road. At Tesla I can almost guarantee a loaner car to use while I wait if it's going to be longer than normal. Their lounge is great with drinks and snacks and there is plenty around in walking distance to kill time if a loaner is not available. Tesla is a great value Everytime I go in the service department tries their best to do repairs or replacement under warranty. Didn't happen this time and I ended up replacing both my rear tires which was more than I wanted to spend but you can't win them all. As I said I personally have never had a bad experience with the Tesla Motor vehicle side of the house....Solar that's another story. read more

This is my second visit to the maintenance shop. The first was to replace a stress crack on my windshield. Alayna went above and beyond to fix it under warranty. She gave me a loaner vehicle because being without a car is stressful enough. She was caring and compassionate to my feelings and made the process easy. Here again for the second time to replace my 12 volt battery and Tim and Alayna were incredibly helpful. Alayna even remembered me and it was nearly a year ago since my last visit. I got here in a tow truck and they saw me right away and got the battery replaced. I am so thankful they opened this location in San Luis Obispo and staffed it with an amazing team. read more

First time at the SLO Tesla service center. Great experience. I was able to easily book the appointment via the Tesla App. They had me checked in within minutes. Really nice waiting room with coffee and snacks. In less than 15 start to finish I was on my way in a nice loaner car. Staff were great, very professional and efficient. The app made the whole process really easy. read more

WOW! Located off the LOVR exit, on the 101, is Tesla of SLO. Ultra modern and sleek building and vibe. There is plenty of parking and they have chargers outside for electric cars. Arnie delivered AWESOME Customer Service! Arnie answered all my questions, walked me through the models and setup a seamless test drive. I really enjoyed the new Model 3. After driving it, you really see the value. A lot of power, good suspension, and minimalist at heart. Doesn't feel as cheap as the price, great Quality. *Overall, I think it's time to get a Tesla!* read more

Okay, so yeah, our nerd brains won out and, lured by the $7500 tax deduction, we started sniffing around the Tesla dealership in San Luis. That joint is jumping!! Every time we went in, there were people milling around looking at the features on the Tesla models. We were greeted cordially by Corey, who explained all the features of the cars and the financing in a matter of fact and very transparent way. We went to look at the new Model 3, but decided the larger Y was the one for us! One odd thing is that if you lease a car, you can't buy it at the end of the lease, so we took that into consideration. You do most of the looking and buying online, and Corey helped us search for the model we wanted. They don't deliver the cars to San Luis yet, so we would have to drive to Santa Barbara or Sunnyvale to pick one up. If you pick a model that someone else has cancelled on, you also get a better price, and since our choice was fairly generic (white with black tire rims) we found one also immediately in Santa Barbara at a great price!! Within two weeks the model had arrived in Santa Barbara, and we set up an appointment for a Friday afternoon pick up. We got insurance over the phone first, then made our journey to SB. Very friendly staff, and we were assigned a nice guy who made sure the vehicle was ready (complete with a big red bow)! We were given time to look over the car, and we had a check list we printed from the web to give us specific items to check. The car was fully charged and looked roadworthy, and we had fun tooling back up the coast with a nice stop at the MacDonald's in Buellton! We are loving the car with its perky little space ship like hum! The car needed a little check up the next day, and the service department whizzed through the issue to get us back on the road! All in all, best car buying experience ever! read more

They do good work, but double the time estimate. I was told 2.5 hours and it took more like 4 hours.

They are always extremely nice and helpful. So glad to have them in slo and not have to drive to Santa Barbara like I used to!

I had an issue with charging my car on the way to see my father and the people at the Tesla dealer were fantastic. They were just so kind and helpful. I really appreciate them. I would definitely do work with them again. read more

They have always been polite, but I have had to take my car in numerous times and they are simply NOT able to fix things that should be easy fixes. I can try sending them the YouTube videos showing how many models like mine have errors, and they have so far sold me on $3000 worth of "fixes" that have not fixed the actual problem. I have completely lost faith in their ability to fix cars, and my Tesla is one of the early models. I will NEVER own another Tesla. It is an expensive sinkhole for money and an unreliable vehicle, and the service on it is pathetic. I'm done. read more

Excellent customer service. You know they're doing a good job when you look forward to going to bringing your car in for service because the staff is so friendly. Job well done! read more

Their recommendations almost always recommend diagnosis at $275 a pop and then their usually hr charge and parts. No courtesy car is ever offered. I am selling my Tesla and going back to Lexus! read more

I had to run in for a quick repair today. While either of their neighbors would have turned me away for a later date, the service writer triaged my issue and found someone to knock it out. 30 minutes later, I was back on the road. I really appreciate the focus on customer service! read more

I have owned a Tesla model y for two and a half years. I do NOT recommend anyone to buy a Tesla. I still would recommend an electric car. There are many ones out there now! read more

So far I've had a bad experience with Tesla. The support team is not easy to speak to and you get bounced around quite a bit. My particular situation was that my referral code was not added to the vehicle. I was not credited anything for it and it was indeed a working referral code. After reaching out to Tesla employees, they said that the referral code could not be added now that I had picked up the vehicle. So far I haven't been happy with the overall mentality at Tesla. This has nothing to do with the car performance. Overall the car has been working well for me . But I would not have purchased the vehicle knowing that the Tesla support team was not malleable and accommodating. read more
