The prices again are generally good, however the quality of products may vary. On occasion they do have some absolutely amazing products on sale, these can be few and far between though. Finally it must be noted that the tills (or checkouts) are the most frustrating in the world, firstly there's usually only ever one open so you spending most of your time in the store standing in the most depressing line in the world as you wait to pay for your 1 item. Secondly, when you have finally managed to reach front of the queue, the staff usually make a habit of opening a till right next to you (making your whole ordeal pointless) while the person serving you throws you items halfway towards the door. what joy.

This one does have 2 levels, and you can take the lift (elevator) or the escaltors escalators. The escalator going down wasn't working the times I've been, but just walk down anyway. They have cashiers for check out as well as self check-out lanes. Prices here are awesome! I'm a huge fan of their bakery bread and the snacks. Their sparkling water game is pretty strong, too. Don't be shocked if I check in here again, lol!

If you're around Liverpool, Tesco's of all versions are dotted around places: metro, local, express, superstore. If there are any more, you'll have to let me know! The Liverpool One branch of Superstore is not actually the most super I have come across in Liverpool as there is one in Litherland which is gargantuan in comparison. However, Liverpool One Tesco is certainly what the town needs. You still have plenty of choice here, a variety of sections such as deli, clothes and international foods to keep you adding more to your basket! I find this place more of a relaxing and enjoyable shopping experience as opposed to the Metro version by the big screen, because its more spacious and offers an abundance of products. The location isn't great if you're driving there as it'll cost you pounds to park somewhere nearby but certainly convenient when you have other chores to do around town.

What to say about Victoria News. It's a newsagent, and so accordingly it sells newspapers and…read moremagazines (although not the broad and varied range of some similar shops in the area). It also sells chilled soft drinks, sweets and chocolates (which on hot days you might even find beside the Lucozade in the fridge) and crisps. The selection of the latter is a little disappointing but I am pleased to say there was a strong showing from McCoys - which are the go-to crisp-of-choice when I find myself caught in potato snack related indecision. They house a Western Union machine so you can wire money from here and receive said monies if you are so lucky. They also sell lovely postcards of the city which you could always send to your friends and family to let them know of all the incredible fun you're having in Liverpool. There aren't any postcards with "Greetings from...Victoria News" on them though - with a shot of the newspaper racks and the ice cream cabinet. Frankly this seems like a marketing opportunity missed.

Compared to Asda's bustling slickness and infuriating convenience, Aldi can appear a bit slapdash and sad. However, step inside and you realise it wins the lovability factor by a country fathom. More peaceful, more for your money, more German, Aldi (short for Albrecht Discount in case you were wondering) is a place where you can fill your Volkswagen boot with delicious yet unfamiliar brands and still get change from a Deutschmark. How many other places can say that?

It is a small store, so the selection is limited, for a store of its' size, the product range is OK, they do also have a Costa Coffee machine here, which is again useful if you're in a rush and don't have enough time to go to one of the many coffee-shops nearby. The store could have been cleaner and free of obstruction, the warehouse cages left in the middle of the store, made already narrow aisles much worse. 3* - Decent location if you're in a hurry, much better options nearby if you have time on your hands.

Stories of Tesco's ruthless campaign to eradicate every other business from the acreage of Britain can be found in local newspapers all across the nation. That comes as a given of course because to Tesco, everything is local. They've saturated every postcode in the country. However, the really infuriating thing about this particular branch, and what I assume is the crux of the whole problem, is that it's just so damn convenient. With its automatic check-outs and selection of handy goods, it's perfect for breezing in and out of but you'll hate yourself afterwards. People can whine on about how stinkingly evil the business is but so long as the remaining millions are flocking through the aisles, they're basically trying to shout down a hurricane. They should know by now the slogan 'Every Little Helps' doesn't apply to those who avoid Tesco.

It means if you just have a few bits to pick up you don't have to trek miles round a superstore just for those few bits. Even more conveniently, you don't even have to converse with the staff due to the self service checkouts. You can get your shopping, serve yourself and be away in no time at all. Another convenient thing, the store is open 6am-11pm 7 days a week so when the other stores close on Sunday around tea time, this Tesco Express stays open till late evening.

It's a grocery store, but this particular location has 2 stores under 1 roof. The Home Bargains store houses "hardline" items as well as a few food and drinks options. It's here at this location that I was able to find and snag the well-known English cookies (or "biscuits" as they're locally called) which are branded as "Digestives." I do believe these can be found in San Diego's Shakespeare restaurant and store, but they're probably limited on flavors and guaranteed to cost more. While here, I found some of the hot sauces Shay told me about. I have a friend who loves hot sauce, so I'll be gifting that to her along with other yummies. The Cadbury chocolate tub was also here, and on sale. 2 tubs for £9!! That's an unbeatable price! There's a small selection of fruits and veggies and also fresh flower bouquets. I love the prices at these grocery stores. If I lived here, I wouldn't worry too much about sales, but the ones they do have make the prices even more amazing! Gotta love it here at ASDA! Last Saturday, I approached 3 different members of staff with different enquiries I needed resolving. I can only say they went above and beyond what I expected and remedied all my requirements . Many thanks to you all. I had earlier visited the instore Opticians, my original reason for attending the store and was served by a young lady, Kia. She was obviously well informed and trained. A credit to all trainers and recruiters at the store. I have never thought this before but I left feeling as if I was a truly valued customer, due to Kia and her 3 colleagues. I can only recommend visiting this store as it makes shopping a pleasant experience and not the usual chore. I hope the store general manager and department head take note of this review.
