Even though I dislike their TV ad's it won't put me off shopping here as the food is good quality and the prices are good though not on fresh fruit or veg. I sometimes pop in to buy something though there's no barriers or people checking receipts. Be warned they do patrol and enforce the 90 minute rule. The supermarket itself is okay. Nothing special but the shelves are usually well stocked which is more than can be said for some other supermarkets. There is a limited range of non food items - this really is a supermarket where people actually buy food. There is a coinstar machine if you have a load of old coppers you want changing. Another tip is that if you have 6 items or less (or is it fewer) you can go the tobacco / lottery kiosk. If there is something that you need from Sainsbury - some great offer - especially non food then your best bet is to go to the one on the A27, or even take a trip down the M27.

You should be able to do your weekly shop all in one go here, but if you are looking for none food items this place isn't going to to fit the bill. If you have a car it's pretty convenient but if you don't it's a little bit of a pain getting across to the bus stops with your bags. The car park and toilet facilities are very easily accessible which is a big bonus, and there is a cashpoint machine.

I gave him his hat back which he had dropped beside my car and told him that there was no damage and tried to explain they had not left me enough room to get in. He then said 'don't argue with me' and launched into an unprovoked tirade of abuse. His mother returned and he kindly told me to F*** off then got out of his car and took a picture of me although I told him this would be harassment - which it was. Another reviewer mentioned that this Asda used to be open 24 hours, but as I recall this branch of Asda has never had 24 hour opening. The hours are very good in my opinion, it is open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 10pm Saturdays 8am to 9pm and the normal Sunday 10am to 4pm. Asda has recently had a make over and now has a second floor where all the clothes, electricals, DVD's and home stuff is located. I do my weekly shop in Asda as generally they stock the widest range of the types of things I like to buy including a very good selection of salad and vegetables, as well as a wide range of meat. The staff are normally pretty helpful both at the tills and customer service desk, and generally the items I want are in stock.

I saved a lot of money on a monthly shop, and bought lots of frozen food, most of which seemed to cost very little! The selection of cheeses was vast, so if you're a cheese lover you should go and have a look! There were some nice fresh flowers and plants in the fruit and veg section, which all looked nice. Rather than having lots of special offers (eg, 3 for 2), Morrisons just simply seem to concentrate on basic low prices. When I asked about a clubcard or points card at the til, the lad had no idea what I was talking about! So some sort of loyalty scheme would be good, although I believe they do have one for their petrol. I have to comment though on the seemingly limited selection of fresh chicken and meat, although the fresh fish was cheap (£2 for 2 cod fillets). And the wines were good value.
