The Tesco store in the Bridges is always packed. Fortunately this is not my local, so I only tend to pop in for a few bits and pieces when I have vouchers. Like all Tesco stores it has its good points but also drawbacks. The beauty of Tesco is that they accept any retail coupons, even if you are not buying the product. I believe this particular Tesco accepts up to 50% of the value of your shopping, which is fab, though they only accept one of the same coupon. I tend to just use about 50p-£1 per transaction as I think that when people get greedy they are less likely to be so generous! I think the prices are about the same as other leading supermarkets, but they do have some good bogofs and also if you have a clubcard you sometimes get 'till spits' - these are vouchers that are printed by the tills, they are offers targeted at the customer depending on their previous purchases. They usually give you X amount of extra clubcards points if you buy a product, though I have heard some people getting completely free items so it is definitely worth signing up for the card even if you don't shop there regularly. All in all Tesco are a pretty average supermarket, pricewise. If there was a branch more local to me, I would definitely switch to them as their clubcard offers great perks if you know how to use it properly to take advantage of the numerous special offers. read more

Tescos is located in the Bridges shopping centre sunderland. It is a store that i only ever tend to visit if i am in town and need afew fresh items. This store is always packed, proberly for the convenience and it is a really cheap shop. It has everything you would need for a full weekly shop, but the car parks are not situated very close so this would mean that you would have to carry your bags quite away. You can often pick up some good offers and Tesco also has a clubcard system where you can earn points to redeem on items at a later date. The store is nice and layed out well with helpful staff available if you need them. read more

It's a shame that a city only has 1 Tesco's and it's a small one tucked into a shopping mall! There's always rumours of a Tesco being built around the city but as of yet we're still waiting for that to happen. This Tesco's is small and is always really busy and hard to move around! Tesco is a popular supermarket and with this being a Tesco Express and the only one in Sunderland it's understandably busy. They do have good offers on but I never like Tesco's own food too much. You will queue ages at the checkout, they only have a few and the queues are always long. They have some self serve ones but again, you will queue for these. read more
