Toxic, egocentric and extremely unprofessional shop with some of the worst, morally bankrupt, immature and self important human beings I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Staff (not all) are immature, snide, sanctimonious, temperamental, rude, up themselves, unwelcoming and give off massive Mean Girls high school bully vibes and gatekeeper behaviour. Two faced backstabbing colleagues without morals or integrity who all rat on each other while acting like the best of friends to each other's faces, create pathetic primary school level drama and deal with their problems like petulant toddlers instead of communicating like normal human beings.
Staff are unnecessarily problematic, displaying a lot of fake, selective outrage depending on what kind of mood they're in or what grudge they're holding that day, even if it means completely contradicting themselves.
I once once told by a girl on an ego trip that I was disrespecting her by stepping in to deal with a customer who was making inappropriate remarks because she was fine with it... then was accosted by the same person a day later for letting a customer in without a shirt on because she "didn't want to be looking at a man's nipples".
The two ginger headed sisters that work there often talked about how much they disliked "cliquey" behaviour despite being the absolute worst offenders for it, a complete lack of self awareness.
They give you silent treatment when you refuse to tolerate their disrespect and childishness and then snitch on you to their manager behind your back saying that it's you doing it to them while throwing in a few lies to save face because their own behaviour has gotten uncomfortable for them, then they will avoid you like the plague in the shop unable to even look at you when you're face to face with them showing how guilty they are.
I've seen customers and delivery drivers spoken to like dirt, treated with appalling attitude, disdain and passive-aggressiveness by standoffish staff on a power trip who have zero business working with the public.
Shift leaders were petty sycophants with a power complex who played tit for tat, try to gaslight people, spread gossip, lies, childish and malicious rumours about those they dislike in order to get them in trouble and make themselves feel like they've accomplished something and to justify their own shitty behaviour.
People 'in charge' treat those 'beneath' them with contempt while brown nosing and sucking up to the manager, speaking volumes on their character that they only respect people 'above' them.
Management in store is piss poor, unappreciative and self serving with a "what have you done for me lately" attitude.
Store manager is corrupt, manipulative, sneaky, dishonest, untrustworthy, underhanded and a pathological control freak. Does nothing to resolve issues between staff members, loves gossip, breeds a culture of snitching and often takes the easy way out of situations. Puts sales and personal gain before the wellbeing & safety of the staff.
The ginger girl pictured constantly snitches on her 'friends', is often bringing her personal issues and domestic disputes to work with her, verbally and emotionally abuses her own boyfriend in front of colleagues.
'Power' is abused frequently, petty rules upheld when it suits but will happily break said rules if it benefits them.
Staff turnover in such a short period of time is alarming and indicative to what a shit show this place is. A hostile and negative environment with miserable, unfulfilled people in charge, ruining it for the genuinely good people that work there. If you're a spiteful jobsworth looking for some menial power to throw around in order feel better about yourself or if you thrive on toxicity and have a chip on your shoulder then this is the perfect shop for you! Absolute embarrassment of a place run by nasty vindictive little bullies who project their own insecurities and unhappiness onto others. A silly little corner shop shouldn't be this difficult. No one with any values or self respect should ever want to work in this cesspit. read more
