It's pretty much a typical Tesco Extra in terms of the look/feel of the store, which still felt familiar to a first-time visitor to this store like myself, the opening hours between 6 am and midnight appear to be in line with other Tesco Extra's store, which unfortunately seemed to ditch 24-7 opening in the post-pandemic era. Handheld scanners are available at the front of the store, where you can scan and bag items as you shop before going to the checkout to finish up. I did have difficulty unlocking scanners and had to enter my Clubcard number on multiple occasions. I much prefer the Sainsbury's and Marks and Spencer approach, of using their app on your phone to scan, rather than relying on an in-store scanner. I did find the selection of food and drink in the to-go fridge section to be quite poor, I couldn't find a standard 500 ml iced tea in the entire store, and in the end, I had to opt for a large 1.25 litre bottle. I did find it to be rather odd how the milk was divided up into two different sections, and I had to ask a staff member for help finding my preferred brand of milk, it's a big enough store and there's no reason they can't keep it all together. 3* - A nice supermarket sure, has some improvements to make, but no better or worse than the average Tesco.

The focus is certainly on the supermarket sort of items - the cookware and electronics are a little sparse if you're looking for serious comparison shopping, but in a pinch they'll certainly do. Some of the best things: - everything is fresh - the staff are helpful and numerous - great brand selection - the great "voting" chips for charity Less good are the high prices, but honestly, it's worth it for a treat of semi high-end groceries. There are clothes for all the family that are suitable for all occassions, which in my opinion is rare for a supermarkets. Yes this supermarket in general is not the absolute cheapest but it is competitively priced and you definitely get what you pay for.

This Tesco is a bit on the small side, but it has been extended and that has improved it somewhat…read more It's still a bit lacking in some ranges, but you can't expect everything, and it is open until midnight most nights which makes it very handy for people living in the area. The car park is free but can get very busy at certain times. People seem to completely ignore the parent & toddler signs which gets right on my nerves as it's such a busy car park and can be difficult to navigate safely with kids and a trolley. Staff are generally quite friendly, and there aren't normally too many in the queue to be served. A lot of bargains to be had later at night when reductions are done, but beware that there are often empty spaces on the shelves. Petrol is pay at pump only - really frustrating when they're doing 5p off promotions as you can't use them there. The pumps are also notorious for breaking down, but it is normally cheaper than the Jet garage along the road.

Unlike other small corner versions of large supermarkets this co-op can always supply a complete range of food to have a good meal - from great meats, fresh veg, a small selection of canned goods, sweets and frozen foods but an overall great selection. After 2yr of using it i have never been for some food and come away empty handed. To top it off a the staff a super friendly and always say hello. What more can you ask for in a corner shop.
