Despite the current difficulties with finding raw trim of good quality, the new trim looks beautiful and is a great replica of the original. He handled all the challenges of a historic home, adjusting dimensions to keep a consistent look despite floors and walls not being plumb, working around air registers & grilles, and even reforming a damaged door plinth. He and his painter, Louie (Beyond Basics Painting), did a great job patching & painting the interior of the entire home. It looks even better than when I moved in!! Without us asking they put 2 coats on all areas and sometimes if they did not like how it looked they would put a 3rd coat on in certain areas. They also fixed defects in the walls and cracks that looked great when they were done. The price was very fair in my opinion. I highly recomend The Painters LLC. Levi was easy to work with.

After shirking all responsibility, he actually called me, his customer, the cu** word while on the phone with his employee (who was standing in the room with me where I could easily hear). After telling me the job would take 3-4 days, we are now on week 3. He brings his one employee and either drops him off to work and leaves or sits playing on his phone while the employee works. He hired a 2nd employee while on my job so he then decided this meant the world could revolve around him and although he was not done with my job, made plans to go snowboarding for the day on Friday. He didn't tell me this until the night before when he was frantically trying to convince his employees they could finish if they stayed late enough on Thursday night. I finally told him he needed to leave at 9 p.m. at which point he said the things he needed to do himself would have to wait, but he'd send his 2 employees back the next morning. As a business owner myself, I tried to gently point out to him that a business owner needed to complete a job and not run off to play. I have since found out that it wasn't just me, his customer, he was treating horribly. He hasn't paid his one employee for weeks and seems to think he can get around to doing so whenever he wants. Sadly, I don't think his employees will ever get paid because he didn't do the math before hiring a second employee to figure out that what he'd bid for the job would not cover the wages. He does not have workers' compensation insurance, yet had his employees driving the company van today with no tail lights and only one brake light (after I'd advised him they were out 2 weeks ago). So if the employees are in an accident and injured, they are out of luck because there's no workers' compensation insurance to cover them. He expects his employees to work 12 hours a day and brings them lunch so he can keep that short and push them to eat in 10 minutes and get back to work and gives them no breaks. Apparently, he is just not a respectful person as the c-word came out of his mouth almost immediately when his employee communicated to him that I didn't want them being forced to work another 12 hour day. Levi apparently thinks operating a business with slave labor and skirting the laws is his entitlement so that he can fund his snowboarding pastime while everyone else works around him. I had initially hoped this was a young man working hard to build a good business and make something of himself. Instead, he is the poster child for entitlement and thinks the world should afford him his pastimes while he exerts no effort himself and treats others with no concern or respect.

To his credit, Simon realized he was in the wrong and gave me back $300. But things he clearly said he would do, he did not do: 1. Fill in gray breeze in front walkway. His excuse was that he couldn't match gray breeze??@!! - Lowes, Home Depot and Dons all carry it. 2. Do the signature "final touch" weeding of the back yard and clean the back patio. 3. Augment the rock in the back yard and front on the right side of the driveway. 4. clean the weeds out of the rocks in the front and sides. I gave Simon the opportunity to come back and fix these things, but he opted instead for a barrage of texts excusing his behavior and blaming me for ingratitude and impugning my character. Simon excuses himself from these agreed upon obligations by suggesting he did a lot of "extra" work not contracted. Overall, the job that he did do was done well, but he really left me hanging by overpromising and underdelivering. I had to hire help to finish his job. Beware.

Integrity? Hardly…read more Long list. Lowlights. Being lied to, repeatedly. Requirements for the work, neighbor's property, start times, dates. Every one of these, fail. Listen carefully.. caveat emptor. When the customer is made to feel that it is their fault, ALL, not just overall, but in specifics, quite stunning. Let me repeat, when a customer is made to feel it is their fault, in details... run. The company has no problem in this behavior. Roof at points leaked from the start. Had them come out under warranty, actually soon after completion, to deal with. Nope. Still leaks. Reached the last straw of frustration. Wanted them no where near the property as enough was enough. Speaking of leaks, had perfectly fine gutters, put in place by a top shelf company. integrity did not reinstall the gutters on day of completion. Result being we had the Colorado monsoons cycling up, and our basement flooded. Twice. Had to call more than once to push them come back and get their work done. More excuses (excuses were constant throughout). That they sub contracted this out and blah blah blah. Another in the long line of blaming anyone but themselves for their work. Anyway, finally reinstalled perfectly fine gutters, and there were several leaks. Never had this before. And another basement flooding. Result being perfectly fine gutters rendered unusable. Much more detail but, why? Will add not my words but of others. When talking with insurance company months after, roof replacement came up. Leading to "we're not supposed to discuss with customers companies... pointed to favorites. But off the record, integrity would not be a company on a recommended list of..." and tapering off for obvious reasons. It was clear integrity would be on the list to avoid. Finally, in the last few days in a discussion with a roofing company for a neighbor, who's good and not good came up. Imparted that we'd had a really poor experience. Fellow said let me guess... and named two companies. integrity being the first one. Their words. Not mine. Am still picking up old roofing, nails.... One of two worst customer experiences of my life.
