Wanted to post this immediately so management can figure out her name... ~ 45 year old black woman who's lived in Vegas for 16 months (previously in Texas and Alabama- only disclosed after I asked) and was the cashier. She's incredible. Upsold the app with the pitch at a speech rate that I could process what she was saying but not easily interrupt. Friendly. Helpful. Kind. Professional. Responsible. Immediately answered specific uncommon questions as I entered in a way that didn't make the person at her register feel neglected or impact efficiency/flow. Engaged in chit chat in a way that indicates professionalism as well as sets boundaries related to time squandered engaging with lonely random people (she's not a clock milker). Mentioned a merger when answering a question that implied her level of commitment to her job as well as indicated that she might be overqualified but not in a way that indicates her employment being a stepping stone. Immediately attempted to procure information regarding specifics as they related to company history until I stopped her and reassured her regarding my impression related to the importance of knowing exactly what date something random happened. Seems like the kind of employee I'd create a position for to accommodate my desire to poach if I still owned an ad agency. read more

The service here is very disappointing. The Black women, is rude and loud. She accuses another black man of stealing, when he never did and she kept harassing him. she causes her own frustration and takes it on the customers. she kick me out when I had asked her " she doesn't have to be so rude" and when I was walking out, she kept calling me names. This person needs to be investigated and fired. The last thing I see is her harassing my kids, since we come her to get snacks. read more

Cashier was so rude to the customer in front of me.. berating him because the machine was being stubborn with his card. I waited several minutes & when I went to check out with my beer, I proactively got out my passport to show ID & she exclaimed WE DON'T TAKE IDS THAT WON'T SCAN. Immediately started removing my items from the bag. She was so rude. This is the 3rd time. There are many forms of valid ID, and also kinder ways to handle customers. I'm 48, and wasn't buying nicotine. There is no excuse for such horrible customer service, and the new NV statute regarding ID scan for nicotine isn't an excuse to be so rude to paying customers. Thank goodness there are plenty of places with decent employees who take passports, military IDs, and other government-issued IDs for alcohol purchases. I walked in said hello how are you? Lady just Stared at me stared at me I never said anything. I proceeded to get me a fountain drink and once I did that came up front and asked is this the only bananas you have? She had her back to me never turned around just said yep. I said well these are old don't you think ? She shrugs her shoulders. I said oh this is your managers responsibility she nods her head. I'm thinking to myself can this lady talk talk other then yup? Then sure enough lady comes in on the phone with a beautiful blonde hair boy so adorable anyway and the clerk says hello how are you? I'm like oooh she does speak. So I proceed to pay my total was 1.07 I gave 1.10 I never take change and when I gave her the money she said have a good day. Not only do you speak you don't attempt to give me my change naw may I have my change. I really didn't want to buy because of this let's just say this store won't get another-penny definitely didn't get my gas went across to shells. read more

I have stopped in a couple of times for gas and a drink. The woman working the register has been incredibly rude and incompetent. The last time I was there Lorraine was the cashier same as tonight. She was rude and asked me to bring her another candy bar to scan because she couldn't get the one I picked to scan. Ugh. Just punch in the upc code you lazy waste of life. Girl needs to get out of customer service if she doesn't even want to do the bare minimum. Never going there again. read more

The staff in this terribles is the absolute worst! I know gas station employees don't make a lot of moneybut that's not an excuse to receive the service that I had in there. I have a service dog which I showed one of the employees all of his service identification so he was okay, this over weight African-American lady approaches me and very rudely comments, you know you're not allowed dogs inside the store right, she replies with well somebody's got an attitude. Then she starts getting into personal questions about the dog and I'm just like I don't want to talk to you about the dog, you've already disrespected me and my disability I would just like to get my stuff and pay. Another rude comment from this lady. Then this other customer comes up to me and starts petting my dog! I said please do not touch my dog he's a service dog, and like all classy Las Vegas people he proceeds to cuss me out because I won't let him pet my service dog. He's sitting there using every cuss word in the book while the employees just stand there and do nothing. I refuse to go back to the store and I will be in contact with the American with disabilities act after this! It seems like terribles Will just hire anybody lol. The lady also seemed to have a little bit of an attitude herself. Or she's just really rude. She single bagged 4 16 oz cans of beer like an idiot. So I had go to go my car and grab another bag. An employee misbagging items that obviously should be double bagged. Sounds like someone having a bad day trying to rub it off on other people by having their bag break with beer in it. Anyone with a brain knows 4 16 oz cans of beer in 1 bag will break. I won't be returning even though they do have my beer the cheapest. It's not dealing with rude ignorant people and not worth the price of having some rude cashier have my bag break in hopes my beer would be ruined. I generally go to Terrible Herbst to fuel up my truck. Went there today. The sun was glaring down on the screen, so it was hard to read what was being displayed. Since I always get the car wash (to save twenty cents per gallon, and I have a black truck) I tried to put in my request. Well, with the previously mentioned sun I couldn't read the screen quick enough to get my selection in. It allowed me to pump my gas, but no car wash on the receipt. So I went inside. The clerk said they couldn't help me..."they could call corporate". I walked out without a word. Knowing that I had been there many times before and how the car wash worked I went to where the car was line was. I spoke with the attendant about what I wanted... offering to pay $6 for the $10 car wash. That would have been about the deal that I tried to get. He suggested that he'd run my truck through no charge for my hassle (without a wipe down at the end, but who would argue with that?). I was very happy... happy enough to tell my story on Yelp. While I don't suggest that everyone can get a free wash, you should give Terrible Herbst a try for your next wash as they clearly understand what customer service means. I will continue to go here to get fuel and my car washes. read more
