What a cool place! This place has been on my list of places to see pretty much since I have moved to NWA. I finally came last month and I'm so glad I did. I actually came with my kids for a field trip. As we were driving out there I was surprised it was still considered in Fayetteville city limits. There must be weird city boundaries. When you arrive, there is parking area where you first pull in and parking closer to where you would do the classes and go to the store. We were given a tour of the area and it is very funky, yet charming. I absolutely love the blown glass blue birds. I have been a fan of blown glass for a long time. We took a class and made our own pinch pots, which was a lot of fun! We could create any design we wanted for the pot shape. They then said they would pour in some blue blown glass into the bottom of our pot. I haven't picked up my pot yet, but I am excited to see it when I do. Check out the classes they offer! We went into the store, which has a cute little door within the big door. Kids can fit through the little door. Inside the store, to the back is where you can watch them do blown glass. The store right by the blown glass is full of the birds, mostly in blue, but also pink and a couple other colors. The store also is full of art from other local artists, which is cool to know who you are supporting. Each area gives you information on the artist. There is also a cafe area with seating in the store. There are lot of tables and some really funky booths - super artsy! The grounds are cool, fun to explore. My kids liked playing in the area outside of the store and also in the "Wizard Cave". Overall it is a cool, funky place!

A magical place for both children and adults to enjoy! There is so much to explore, and don't forget to visit the gift shop and bring home a treasure of your own!

This place is incredible. Beautiful, with magnificent art spread over six acres. It's delightful, whimsical and magical. We traveled for 2 months all over the United States and this was my very favorite place. It's a little off the beaten path but so worth it. They have lots of local artists that offer their wares for sale in the gift shop. Be prepared to spend some time here and to find some lovely items for purchase.

lots to see and enjoy in this shrine to other worldly thinking. Bring a picnic lunch or enjoy healthy and hardy selections in a gift shop stocked with plentiful locally sourced artwork. It's not far from Fayetteville but plan to use about four hours to get to it, enjoy it, and return home.

Great for whole family. From fun and creative, to simply beautiful art and statues. Great cafe and lots of seating. Live demonstrations too. Absolutely a great experience. Take a picnic or dine in their cafe.

THIS is what I'm looking for in a local gift shop! In a world where so many makers seem to be…read moremaking projects they found on Pinterest, Center Street Mercantile is full of original goods carefully crafted. First of all, location: Center Street Mercantile is not on Center Street anymore - it's on Block Street in the same shopping center as Little Bread and Dark Star. It's a welcome change, much easier to get to with a better parking situation. parking nearby is paid during weekdays, but it's free nights and evenings. There are coin meters and you can get more than an hour of time with $0.25. Second, the goods: Nice variety here of party food, decorative bowls, jewelry, local carvings... Good hodgepodge of things. You'll pay more here than at a big-box store but the goods are fairly priced. They also have a farm fresh eggs sometimes! Third, the candles: Yes, the candles get their own category. The owner of the store has a collection of candles he has made that are scented like different hot spots in Northwest Arkansas - Majestic Lounge, Common Grounds (RIP), Thorncrown Chapel, the ballpark... and they really capture the scent of each of these places! I would buy the entire collection if I had the money, but I do have four of them. Fourth, the owner: SUPER nice! He's always been super friendly when I am in the store but he doesn't look over your shoulder while you're shopping. He's really knowledgeable about everything in the shop. The store is generally open Tuesday through Saturday, but I was super thrilled it was open on a Sunday for the Christmas season and I definitely spent my money there today. I'm really happy to support this local business.

Dropped in for a dessert snack for an after lunch treat. I bought two clusters, pecans and almond…read more I enjoyed them both and will visit again as my son will be attending the university in the fall. I spoke with the owner and he was a interesting man who is invested in the community and kind.
