THIS IS ONLY A REVIEW OF THE BATHROOMS There are two single use gendered bathrooms inside the gallery. No changing table in the men's room. There was a line for the women's room, but not for the men's room, so I ended up using that one instead. An easy fix for that would be making the single use bathrooms unisex, plus adding another changing table in the second bathroom. There are gendered bathrooms outside, but they were closed for the season. read more

Terra Studios is an absolute gem! I visited many years ago, and had the pleasure of visiting again recently while visiting family who moved to the area. Only, this time, I got to introduce my 5yo to the whimsical, magical world that is Terra Studios! It's such a special place; he, of course, LOVED it! So first thing to note: they are NOT closing! Rather, they are suspending production of their glass birds in order to reduce global warming. That makes me respect and love this non-profit (another thing that has changed since my original visit) a whole lot more! It's bold, it's risky, yet it's brave and honorable! I was really impressed with their gallery and the amount of artists presented. I left with Christmas gifts for my parents and in-laws, as well as some new paintings for myself. And it all seemed very affordable. I hope to try an art class if I can make the timing work when back in the area! They have some fun looking classes (check the website.) If you can, make a trip out to Terra Studios, and help support this wonderful organization! I'm glad I live in a world where such a place exists. read more

What a cool place! This place has been on my list of places to see pretty much since I have moved to NWA. I finally came last month and I'm so glad I did. I actually came with my kids for a field trip. As we were driving out there I was surprised it was still considered in Fayetteville city limits. There must be weird city boundaries. When you arrive, there is parking area where you first pull in and parking closer to where you would do the classes and go to the store. We were given a tour of the area and it is very funky, yet charming. I absolutely love the blown glass blue birds. I have been a fan of blown glass for a long time. We took a class and made our own pinch pots, which was a lot of fun! We could create any design we wanted for the pot shape. They then said they would pour in some blue blown glass into the bottom of our pot. I haven't picked up my pot yet, but I am excited to see it when I do. Check out the classes they offer! We went into the store, which has a cute little door within the big door. Kids can fit through the little door. Inside the store, to the back is where you can watch them do blown glass. The store right by the blown glass is full of the birds, mostly in blue, but also pink and a couple other colors. The store also is full of art from other local artists, which is cool to know who you are supporting. Each area gives you information on the artist. There is also a cafe area with seating in the store. There are lot of tables and some really funky booths - super artsy! The grounds are cool, fun to explore. My kids liked playing in the area outside of the store and also in the "Wizard Cave". Overall it is a cool, funky place! read more

What an absolute delight! I have loved this place for decades, but had not been there in years. Recently I spent the afternoon there with several families and it was just as much fun as I remembered. The kids had a great time with their scavenger hunt while the adults wandered and marveled and had great conversations. We were there for a few hours and I did not see it all so I am already planning to go back soon. read more

This place is incredible. Beautiful, with magnificent art spread over six acres. It's delightful, whimsical and magical. We traveled for 2 months all over the United States and this was my very favorite place. It's a little off the beaten path but so worth it. They have lots of local artists that offer their wares for sale in the gift shop. Be prepared to spend some time here and to find some lovely items for purchase. read more

Friendly people. Interesting spaces. This place is top notch. And it's free to visit! Love music in the cafe. Kitschy cool booths. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! This is a glass working studio where they make the Bluebird of Happiness. I used to go here with my family when we'd go to the A.Q. Chicken House in Fayetteville and then we'd go up to a fish hatchery on the MO border. I have a green fish (that my cat has since broke so it needs fixed) a green snail and two bluebirds. I thought it was so cool watching the glass artists work with the molten glass when I was a kid. Good thing they never let me in the actual room (they wouldn't anyway) because that hot glass looked like it would be so fun to play with. My ABSOLUTE favorite part was getting to go into the gnome cave where they have blown glass that looks like treasure in their garden of sculptures. It was like a little Narnia. I LOVED it! read more

This place is amazing! I drove over an hour to get here and was so glad I did. The grounds are a wonderland of delightful, incredible works of art in clay, steel, plaster, glass, tiles, and who knows what else??? It was a magical experience! Take your time and go through everything....take a class! The gift shop and small cafe with such unique tables and booths...just WoW! I think my favorite part is all the beautiful works of local artists for sale and the final thrill is the glass blowing Bluebirds of Happiness viewing! Take the family!!! read more

I grew up coming to Terra Studios regularly and it is so much fun to be able to return with my own children. I love the creativity in the environment and appreciate still being able to watch glass bluebirds being made and visiting the wizard room. The additions of the labyrinth and the chalk wall are great as well. They have certainly increased what is available to purchase over the years, and I often find unique gifts. I do miss being able to watch pottery demonstrations and would love for them to add these back into their offerings (or other artistic demonstrations). read more

I. Was. In. Artistic. Heaven. This place is creatively adorable. Home of the blue birds of happiness!!! (I got a handful of them) the labyrinth was cute and fun! Walking around the forest and seeing all the beautiful artwork. The trash can trolls genius! Everywhere I turned, artistic talent everywhere! The craft house was sooo awesome! Free admission to this amazing place!? It seems too good to be true, but it is. I was lucky enough to visit Terra Studios on a gorgeous Spring day with three friends, and we four adults all oohed and ahhhhh-ed our way around for more than an hour. It has such a peaceful, friendly vibe and there are tiny beautiful treasures hidden everywhere (sometimes literally). It's like an Easter egg hunt for Art lovers of all ages, and we enjoyed it immensely. Although the address says Fayetteville, it is definitely outside of town - nearer a town called Elkins (I may have the spelling wrong, it is Elkin or Elkins). Anyway, the very short foot trails and labyrinth were amazing, and all of the sculptures and stained glass blew our minds! Even their on-site coffee house was a must-visit. We half-expected a normal tiny gift shop but this is a studio where you can watch the Bluebirds of Happiness being handmade, alongside a large space filled with over 100 artists' work for sale. Even the booths in the coffee shop and snack area are unique, each one made with a different theme and painstaking attention to detail. On our visit, no one was seated at the booths so we got to check them out fully. This place really is hard to describe or even to capture the "feel" of it in photos...you just have to come & check it out. They also offer classes (Art Lab) for children and adults, though I don't have details on those I am sure to check it out in the future. After just one visit, I'd call this one of my favorite places. read more

We made a trip here today to view the glass blowing. The website says they blow glass daily from 12-5. We arrived around 2:30 to discover no glass blowing. We were disappointed to learn the glass blowing is shut down for weeks due to a cracked cauldron. Lesson learned, call first. :( It would be nice if the website was updated with accurate information. read more

Really, truly a great place. The wizard cave was my favorite feature. I purchased a beautiful piece from their gift shop while we were there and I always get compliments on it. We spent about 2 hours or so just walking around gawking at everything. So much work has gone into this place. My only disappointment was that we were told they had a coffee shop, so I expected to be able to get a good iced latte, but all they had were a few air pots of brew, but that didn't make much of a dent in our experience as everything else was so amazing. read more

Terra Studios is a really fun place to visit. Kids are definitely welcome. It's a fantasy land for kids and adults. There's pottery from lots of different potters and blown glass from Terra Studio. If you want a pleasant outing bring a picnic and eat on the grounds, or just buy a snack from the Terra Coffee House to get your energy back for more looking. read more
