Very nice owners plus there is lots of goodies in every booth . Come every week and I always find…read morenew stuff added weekly .

Flea markets puzzle me, not the theory of them necessarily, but the application of them. Often,…read morethey are antique malls for items that are worthless despite their age and that, nevertheless, carry antique mall prices. Then again, each booth is the creation of an individual, we must remind ourselves before becoming too critical; still, flea markets themselves are, as a rule, inclusive, propagating the myth of universal value. Well, enough of this. At Southtown, I was met by a friendly woman, who greeted my entry and thanked my leaving. Between these events, I wandered the length of the place (40 booths, it was claimed), confronting space after space of mixed goods, including well-used He-Man figures from the 80's, used Lincoln Logs with as-new prices, a wall of previously viewed DVDs, books of no special interest throughout, toothpaste (???), and even a Jägermeister serving tray (for that discriminating loved one). If it is hit or miss at such places, my visit came up all miss, though, I suspect, it wasn't all me. Were I to return in six months, I'm not so certain that anything would be different. Too, I'm not so certain that any market is at the mercy of its vendors, else none of them would ever be good. There must be house rules, some discrimination as to what is on display. I would suggest a few for this market if merely to control the proliferation of the pointless. Then again, there are those who love such things.
