There is even a terrace where you can enjoy sunny days. The food was very tasty, real Italian taste and very well presented. The service was fast, we didn't have to wait a lot even the restaurant was full. We had the opportunity to talk with the chef too who is one of the owners of the restaurants. He told us about his long experience in Italy and that he study management because he wanted to open his own restaurant. In my experience there, even though the staff has always been nice and friendly, the service has always been very slow. It takes almost half an hour for them to serve drinks. I even witnessed a young couple leaving as no one actually paid attention to them on a Friday night. Moreover, the drinks such as beer, which are supposed to be cold, are often served warm or "not cold enough". In terms of food, mini-bruschettas served at the beginning taste really good and signal you are going to eat high quality food here. I really like beef carpaccio and mushroom-filled raviolis. Also, wine selection is quite rich. Still, I believe the portions a little small compared to prices. I would say that overall Vineria de Angelo is a nice place to eat good quality Italian food yet its slow service and bad price/performance ratio render the place "just another Italian restaurant" in Bonn. Although their service and the atmosphere is quite nice and more than satisfactory, I cannot say the same about their food. To start with the appetizers, the mixed Italian platter, which you cannot get any idea about what's included in it from the menu, was catastrophically ordinary. It is ridiculous to pay this price for the small amount of few kinds of sautéed vegetables around a few cold squid pieces in the middle. About the pizzas, there was nothing special about the dough or ingredients of the pizza Parmigiana. Indeed it tasted like a pizza but I swear I tasted better frozen or Imbiss-style pizzas. Plastic-like aubergines, soggy basil leaves and thick dough...It was a huge disappointment. The same applies to calzone. Unfortunately, I should admit it was by far the worst calzone I have ever had. It was supposed to contain "Hackfleischsauce, Champignons, Schinken und Mozzarella." It is tragic that I realized it contained just a few pieces (5 to 10) of ground meat and just two small pieces of ham after eating exactly the half of calzone almost entirely stuffed with mushrooms. Either my expectations were high or the quality of the food was really bad, but in any case I believe Sapore is a place to avoid if you are into real, tasty Italian food that makes you feel happy at the end while you have better Italian restaurants with better price/performance ratio in both Poppelsdorf and Bonn in general.
