We only ordered 1 dish to share as we weren't super hungry and didn't want to waste food. when we ordered, our server basically yelled at us for only ordering 1 dish and told us we should've informed her and it is disrespectful to the business because we were two people sitting at a small square table with 3 chairs. She then proceeded to ask us to move to another table given all the tables are the exact same size ours just happened to have an extra chair. Their was also a gentleman sitting next to us, just 1 person enjoying his 1 meal at a table with 3 chairs. By the time we finish (10 minutes) their was 4 empty tables with plenty of room for other people to sit and enjoy. Food was yummy but after the confrontation we almost just walked up and left. Never would recommend this place purely off the experience I had. the owner of this establishment does not understand the concept of treating customers with respect!

And of course Teppan Yaki is a perfect recipe to keep children entertained. For me the secret of a good Teppan Yaki place resides in the quality of the ingredients used. As the cooking is as simple as a plancha grill can be, you need great meat, great fish, veggies, etc... Well they got that right at Mitsui, everything is fresh and tender. One that is established the show can start, and even though I have attended a few place like this, at Mitsui the show is good. The beef flaming is absolutely the high point of the dinner. And just to finish on the show aspect of things the carbon ice smoke with the desert is deliciously kitshy but again it belongs with the concept. Taste wise, Mitsui is great, all the sauces work perfectly, the classic soja is there but not oppressive, and the meat and fish are cooked to perfection, even the calamar and shrimp which is not a given. I really recommend this place, don't be put off by the outside setting, inside it's nothing romantic either but it works. And it works especially well considering the very friendly and efficient waiters.

The still water is incredibly overpriced at 9 Euros a person. Langoustine Tartare on a delicate tartlet (48 Euros) was very tasty and all the flavors in the dish held their own, including the caviar. Lobster Ravioli in a light curry sauce (45 Euros) were delicate and flavorful; they weren't stingy with the lobster, either. The Aged Bone-in Ribeye (75 Euros) was seasoned and cooked perfectly and was a substantial piece. The Lamb special (58 Euros) was delicious and reasonaly priced, relative to the other dishes. We were too full for dessert (in fact, we took a lot of food home to the hotel). Very expensive meal, but a lovely evening.

It reminds me of the good old dishes that my grand mother used to cook. Important, and rare: French fries are home made. A lot of different local tasty beers. Good quality/price ratio. I wasn't that impressed with my dish BUT did love the homemade fries and mayo! My boyfriend's dish was a lot better and normally I don't like that dish but was pleasantly surprised! For dessert, we all ordered different things, I loved my panna cotta with red berries!! With water, this all came to 15 eur, which is, in my opinion, a steal. As a note, this restaurant only serves meals of the day that are listed on a blackboard, so no menu.
