I had scheduled an appointment online - they were a no call, no show. Would not use them. Orkin was great!

You don't usually walk away from a home inspection thinking, "Well, that was fun." I did. A…read morelittle weird, but true. So, I am buying a house in Pueblo. And it's adorable. But anyway... Let's start with: Colorado's Choice is open on Sundays. Yes! Crazy, I know, and yet, they are. Which I was very happy about. Because it was Sunday when I wanted to make my appointment and I didn't want to wait. I'm very excited. I called and got a pleasant man on the phone who took my information and set up an appointment for Monday at 9 am. Because that is a person who understands what it's like to not want to wait. I pulled into what will soon be my new driveway at 8 minutes before 9 and the inspector was there, parked at the curb, getting his inspector tools all ready. He walked over to my car and greeted me when I got out. He introduced himself, Jerry. And then he told me how adorable my house was. I liked him right away. We chatted while we waited for the real estate person to let us in. We took a casual tour around the outside. He kept pointing out all the features that made me love the house. I liked him more and more. We finally got in the house and we went to work. He promised that he was going to be really critical and he was. Which is exactly what I wanted, for him to make me a to-do list. And he did, a nice long one. And he prioritized it for me. He did a great job and he was fun to work with. We chatted and I threw out my decorating ideas and he agreed. You gotta love someone who agrees with you. So, go to Colorado's Choice and meet Jerry. You'll have a great time.

I am glad that I chose Colorado's Choice Home Inspections. This will be the third home that I've…read morebought. I honestly thought I could have performed better inspections on my own in the past. Jerry performed the inspection in Pueblo, CO. He documented all of the problems (minor and major). I appreciated all of the pictures that he included with his reports because it made it very easy to communicate with the sellers the repairs that I wanted. Jerry was very flexible in his schedule to accommodate my real estate agent running a little late. His paperwork and forms are top notch. He relayed all of the information to me quickly and efficiently. I cannot express how happy I am with his work.

Did a home inspection on our home we were trying to sell before moving out of state. The final…read morereport was a disaster and absolutely inaccurate. 1. When taking a photo of the laundry room, he took a photo of the door to the laundry room where the door had been taken off its hinges just minutes before he came for the inspection. He wrote in his report, "door off of hinges. Needs to be repaired." This is after my husband asked him if he wanted the door reattached for the photo. He replied with, "do whatever you want. It's your door." The door was taken off hinges for just minutes so that movers could move out our washer and dryer. Very smug attitude. The first ding on the report. 2. Next there was ONE smoke alarm in the hallway that needed new batteries. While every single other smoke alarm in the home was actively working. He wrote in the report, "smoke alarm not working. Seems unsafe if there's a fire." Crappy move. 3. We have 2 sets of just a few stairs separated by an entryway. There is a guardrail on the top set and one on the second. Our children are older now and definitely not crawling, therefore we do not need baby gates installed. There had previously been one installed on the top set and there was still one installed on the bottom set. We no longer needed them, what would they be for? He wrote in his report, "stairs have no child safety guards. Seems unsafe for children living in the home or any children visiting the home." Unsafe for children far old enough to walk? Ridiculous and shameful. He came into our home with a smug attitude and ego radiating off of him. I'd like to remind him that he is a home inspector. A mediocre one at that. He is not a God, not a doctor, not a hero. He isn't as important as he seems to think he is. I'd like to also point out that EVERY SINGLE section of our report stated that CONDITIONS ARE ACCEPTABLE. Regardless of this, multiple sections ripped us apart. Every little thing he could come up in his subpar brain. The offer then fell through, and the realtor verbally attacked our realtor over the phone. Saying how could we possibly list this home in this terrible condition. Attacking our home, our parenting, and our family in general. When if you'd ask ANYONE who actually knows us, they'd tell you we're very equipped, loving, involved parents. We are now moved out of state paying 2 mortgages and struggling financially because of this vile human being. Again, let's be reminded- you are a home inspector. It's laughable. What a success. Most people say it isn't personal, it's business. But coming into someone's home and treating them poorly verbally and being rude in general is absolutely personal.
