I then proceed to contact Allegheny Health Department, who told me to NEVER EVER THROW A BAT OUT if found in the house, they (AHD) then came to pickup the bat and sent it for rabies lab testing within an hour, FREE OF CHARGE. Then got a call from Allegheny Health Department 2 days later telling me that the bat was tested positive for rabies and I had to take the series of rabies vaccines. Lesson learned, Steel City Pest Control & Wildlife Removal seems to have no idea what NOT TO DO with bats, gives out bad recommendations, and charge an exorbitant amount of money just to "throw the bat out". Makes me wonder if I would've cause other people sick if I just did what they told me or got them to come and throw it out. Will obviously never contact them or use their service.
