It's closer to the city especially the Vila Olimpia/ Paulista area. It's smaller but seemed more organized compared to São Paulo's other airport. There's a food court, some shops, and restaurants. It's easy to navigate. The elevator wasn't working when I was here but they have an inclined walkway instead of stairs so you can easily go down to exit the airport with luggage. Uber is easy to get. They have dedicated waiting areas for Uber with electrical outlets and seats.

Traffic around the airport, and São Paulo in general, can be a nightmare so plan accordingly. The location closer to our hotel was the key factor in us flying here from Salvador. Short run way, scrapping tops of buildings on the landing, and disembarking on the runway were all just added bonuses.
