Worst experience of my life, this business stole my money. My family went to Hawaii in March with a…read moredream of getting family pictures done. I booked Shelly 2 months prior, signed a contract, and paid in full. The day before pictures, Shelly text me to ask if we could reschedule because her son had a surfing competition. I agreed to move the date to accomadate her. We rebooked for a few days later. She said she would email info on our shoot that day, she never did. I had to text her several times a few days later, and didn't hear back until a few hours before our schedule photoshoot. She told me they had been shooting a wedding since 6am that morning. So she double booked my family session with an all day wedding. I was no longer confident that she or her husband would do an adequate job. She had lost my trust at that point, and she broke the contract, so I asked for a refund. She said she would have to mail it. It's been over a month, and they not only haven't sent me my refund, they will not respond to my text. I am beginning to think this business is a scam.

We were staying in Maui and she flew to us from the Big Island which was so easy for us. She helped us with outfit choices, and even sent multiple locations that she's used before! We love her, and love her personality. For a couple who doesn't know how to pose, she helped us so much! She placed us and made us laugh, and made the hour go by quickly... we ended up with at least 20 perfect pics! A few are printed in our home back in Oklahoma. We told her if she ever comes close to us, or to the main land... we want to see her and want another session! Thank you Shelly!

Her expertise shines through, especially knowing many ingredients came straight from her homestead--an impressive touch. With less than a month's notice, she crafted an unforgettable dinner for my intimate wedding, blending local and Mediterranean flavors seamlessly. Communication was prompt, and she handled dietary accommodations for my group with ease. Chef Rachel was professional, leaving the kitchen spotless, and the food? Some of the best we've ever tasted. Standouts included the tender, flavorful lamb--hands down the finest my group had ever had--the unique honey-cured egg yolk, and the pickled quail egg. The lilikoi curd was a revelation, and her macadamia nut baklava outshone any I've tried. Even the kulolo, a dish I grew up with, was exceptional. Every dish and sauce left us in awe. My family still raves about the meal, and Chef Rachel's work turned my wedding into a dream, ending with us blissfully full. Next time my husband and I are on island, we will be sure to check out what cooking classes Chef Rachel has going on at her homestead. Book her--you won't regret it!

THE ABSOLUTE BEST WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER…read more Terra at Earth's Island Photography is an absolute rockstar. We are BEYOND THRILLED with our wedding photos (just look at them! they're incredible!) and on top of it, she was such a joy to work with from start to finish. We spent a lot of time looking at portfolios of different photographers in Hawaii, and Terra was far and above our favorite- and she captured for us exactly the beauty and love that we were so enchanted by in her portfolio. - Terra was so organized and helpful before the event, helping us with a proposed timeline for photos and travel (getting ready photos, ceremony, sunset couple photos, reception, etc), having us draft a list of the group photos we wanted to make sure to take, looking at examples for ideas of the kinds of photos we wanted, suggesting the best beaches for sunset photos, and even recommending places for our last-minute rehearsal dinner. Just everything- and it put us so at ease to have it all sorted. - She is such a kind and sweet human! She is so friendly and lovely, and made our wedding day just that more wonderful by being such a ray of sunshine. She coached us into flattering positions, she was creative and up for any shot, and she waded into the ocean and scrambled over lava rocks to make sure she go the best angles of us on the beach. Just a dream to work with. - What an expert! She knows what she's doing- and it shows. We loved that she had a ton of experience shooting weddings in Hawaii, and the photos she captured for us all day were just top-tier perfection. Her skills with the camera are exceptional, her skills with retouching are exceptional- she is such a highly-skilled photography professional and we could not have asked for better photos. Terra was so supportive, charming, and cheerful, she captured our wedding so beautifully and perfectly, and she delivered an amazing gallery of memories (faster than expected!) I cannot say enough good things about her- she is just amazing. Thank you SO MUCH Terra!
