I found Teri 's Studio on Yelp and decided to send her a message. She responded promptly and I was able to get an appointment quickly. Her studio is located inside Salon Republic in Valencia. Ample parking and super easy to find. Because of Covid there are a couple instructions that we clients have to follow. Example we cannot just enter the salon, we have to text our stylist to allow us entry. Which is ok with me to protect the health and safety of everyone. Teri is super nice and very easy to talk to. When I met her and started talking to her it felt like I've known her forever. I came in for a cut. Teri first looked at my hair and examined it first. Asked what I wanted done then proceeded to wash my hair. During my cut she continuously asked questions about my hair. Which I liked. I felt like she was really trying to get to know my hair. What I love is her philosophy in styling, she said that it's teamwork... how we (client and stylist) have to work together to achieve our goal with the client's hair **high five** I loved my cut. Teri does a phenomenal job on my hair, I absolutely love her work!!! My husband's company contracted a job in Santa Clarita that is supposed to take about 2 months, we currently live in Lake Elsinore, so a round trip could take up to 4-5 hours. It took me 2 hours to get here yesterday as his company puts the crew up in a hotel for the week. I tag along and got extremely lucky when I came across Teri, by chance, and fell in love lol. Yesterday was my 2nd time in Teri's Studio, and I already know there will be many, many more trips to have her perform her magic! Yesterday we wound up watching Netfix, a funny show, made time pass by (too fast) as a 2 hour cut & highlight seemed like 10 minutes. My hair feels amazingly soft and looks great! Teri uses the best products that smell amazing! On my first trip she sold me a bottle of spray that she had imported from Isreal. It cost about $28 but worth every penny! I still have 1/2 a bottle and I plan on buying more my next visit, without fail! My husband's job ends this week so there will be no reason for us to come to Santa Clarita. I don't care, I would drive 6 hours to come sit in Teri's chair... I will definitely be coming back in about 3 months for "upkeep" lol. With a heavy heart, for all of the short loving hair ladies out there, I must leave this review. Salon owner is a nice lady but after showing her a picture of a former haircut and insisting that she not cut off my longer, fringed sides, I left 2 hours later with my side fringes cut off and completely uneven. My hair is tricky and getting my grays covered is difficult. She listens to your input and will not only suggest, but explain why she is choosing certain tones and shades.
