Since I promised to help my mother take care of the expenses, and this kitty was pretty sick, me living in Florida and my mom in PR, I found myself often calling this hospital for consultations, to discuss procedures done and bill. Even though this was all done on the phone, the staff here was very patient with answering my 100 questions and taking time to talk to me and explain everything. My mother was very happy with how everything turned out. Staff is very attentive, understanding and patient. While in PR, this past Christmas, I was able to visit the facilities and meet the people who I had talked to on the phone so many times. I'm convinced the vet here loves and is passionate about what she does and I'm so content my mom's kitty, Gatún, is doing well and taken care off. Only downside is they only take Cash, and with hospital visits usually being on the expensive side, this was often an inconvenience, but a manageable one.

Dr Hugo Cordova is hands down one of the best vets me and my boyfriend have encountered in the…read moreworld. We have travelled from Germany and have adopted a stray cat here in Puerto Rico. He had some problems such as ear mites and an unidentified illness that sometimes made him vomit, tired and inactive. The doctor and his team were extremely helpful, patient and knowledgable. Unlike other vets we have encountered before, Dr Hugo doesn't jump to conclusions to churn in/out patients. He examines very carefully before reaching a reasonable diagnosis - a true professional who does great work with passion. One of the things I thought was pretty cool was that Dr Hugo would sometimes refer our cat as "the patient". You could tell he respects the animalsI because usually vets just say "the cat" or "the dog" kind of emotionless-ly. We could see how much love and care he had for our cat Dusty and for other animals. With the doc's help, our cat Dusty has gone from having occasional vomiting, refusal to eat and prolonged fatigue, to a healthier cat with a proper digestive system with his joy and playfulness restored. We are so grateful for all his help and cannot recommend him more strongly to anyone who loves their pet(s). Thanks again!
