There are multiple farms in the area, but this is one of the best, if not the best. It is an organic farm that raises its own water buffalo and treats them all REALLY well! There is a lot of automation, and these water buffslo are smart! Three times per day, when the buffalo feel too full of milk, they walk to a pen to get in line to be milked by a robot that uses infrared to find the nipples and attach to them! There are also yellow brushes that massage the buffalo. They walk right up to them and get in position for the spots they want massaged. It's a beautiful facility with enough to see and taste. Definitely do it if you can. Advance reservations arw needed for the tours and for the redtaurant if you want to dine on site. Our tour guide was Rosaria, and she was fantastic! Check them out when visiting Italy.

Afterwards, we sampled some delicious fresh bufala mozzarella. The gelato was incredible, and the overall experience was very worth it. 11/10.

BEST SANDWICH I EVER HAD!!!!! ##@$U@(#$!!! Forget "Best sandwich in Amalfi!" BEST SANDWICH I EVER…read moreHAD! I lived in southern italy for 2 years (many years ago) as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I've had my share of panini. While on vacation I came here on Sunday feeling a panino but unfortunately it was closed (respect!). On Monday, I returned and was ready to order a simple prosciutto and bufala mozzarella panino. As the shopkeep was preparing it, I inquired about this small tub of what seemed to be ricotta in his deli. He told me it was a special type of bufala cheese called "carciufula" (I didn't write it down but I wish I did, because I can't find anything online about it). He said he only received shipment of it once a week and Monday was the only day he sold it. I chose the "carciufula" instead and he didn't charge me any extra. Maybe 6-7 Euros for a panino with prosciutto crudo, "carciufula," and tomatoes. This was the best sandwich I ever ate, or at least certainly the Best Monday-only Sandwich I ever had!!!! I wish I found the place sooner than my last day in the area and I wish I would have remembered the name of the cheese better, because I'm sure it's dialect and I'm totally butchering it :). TL;DR - If you're around on Monday, don't make the bonehead mistake of missing this place!
