Then, they offered alternatives and brought me the best jamon I have ever eaten! However, it was the mushroom dish with the egg and shrimp that had me swooning. I had a pork shop afterwards that was good and my family had many other foods as well as desserts, but that dish was out of this world great! I'm not even sure where to start. The food (all of it!!) was served cold! The Churrasco Ternera was so over salted and the "sauce" was so lacking in flavor! The Rape Orio really must have come straight out the freezer, yuk! and the Migas Meson, horrible(!!) the sausage was way over cooked and hence extremely dry!! Oh, and the fish soup had a very nice taste but the seafood within was so over cooked and old...Oh, man! Did we miss the mark in going here! The bottle of wine (protos crianza) was consumable. They charged for bread (although the bread was already on the table when we arrived), I don't appreciate that "selling" style! Don't go! Save your money and go to the pizza joint (my next review!)

We had a spinach cream starter that was out of this world! The entrecôte beef and the pork leg in beer sauce was the best I've ever had. Their desserts were all homemade and very, very good! The coffee at the end was delicious as was the crème liquor shot served with it. I wish we had found this place sooner on our trip!!

Anyway, we found the menu quite extensive in the meat department. The waiter speaks very little English but we had no problem ordering the dishes we wanted. The steak was a generous cut and meat quality quite good. The restaurant has old world charm. The pintxos we ordered were up to par with any other restaurant. Price is reasonable. It wasn't crowded like the ones around the Plaza Mayor. But if you want a nice chunk of meat and a pleasant quiet dinner, here is where you want to be.
