Wow. Amongst the things I didn't even know that I was pining away for, add an 8-story+ department store that is everything to everyone. We entered in a very high-end part of the store featuring all the luxury brands one knows then descended to a food court and movie theaters. From there, I moved on to explore the amazing lower-level supermarket before leaving there and strolling into the beauty/pharmacy department filled with products that both are and aren't available in the US. I took the escalator up, eyeballing what each floor held before disembarking at a floor featuring home furnishings, electronics, housewares, and Christmas decor then got together with my friends for a drink at a wine bar on the top floor. Someone else could write a book on all I likely missed here but what I saw guaranteed that from here on I'll be searching for El Corte Inglése in every place I travel. If you think it's odd to have a department store on your must-see list in Lisbon it's clear that you've not yet been to El Corte Inglés.

Perhaps the most beautiful mall I've ever experienced! It also serves as an art gallery and houses a gin themed cocktail bar! I was super disappointed I could not find any unique jewelry to purchase here- they had a jewelry store but I wanted something more unique and Portuguese looking than the pieces offered. My fiancé, however, found a cool Picasso style tee shirt designed in Portugal in one of the men's shops. They also had gorgeous suede baseball caps that I could not convince him to buy but considered purchasing for myself. Service in almost every store was personalized and friendly. The highlight though is the super cool decor of this old palace. Beautiful art too! Enjoy! A bit pricey but worth it for the experience. The shirt was over 40€. Jewelry was around 100€.
Absolutely loved this place!…read more Such cool little unique shops, great for gifts or for yourself. As we were traveling, we picked up a couple of neat little books on the 500 hidden secrets in both Lisbon and Porto. We also scored some jewelry , cologne and perfume. There is a little gin bar here, but unfortunately we were unable to check it out on this visit. I highly, highly recommend having lunch or dinner at Atalho Real, located on the bottom level. It's a little tricky to find, but ABSOLUTELY worth it! Some of the best food I've ever had. Enjoy!

Centro Colombo is a large shopping centre in Lisbon, Portugal, the stadium is across from Estádio…read moreda Luz, the largest football stadium in Portugal and home to S.L. Benfica. Colégio Militar/Luz Metro Station has an entrance pretty much right outside if you're visiting on public transport. The look/feel of the mall is very interesting - it has parts that show a little need for TLC, while other parts are modern or showcasing the stunning traditional Portuguese architecture, I did find the layout of the mall to make it quite difficult to navigate overall though. There was a giant Christmas tree in the central area of the mall, right in front of Nespresso which was a festive touch as I visited in December. It is home to the largest Primark in Portugal. Other international brands located here include Adidas, BOSS Menswear, Foot Locker, Nespresso and many others. There is also a supermarket (Continente) and a blast from the past, as there's a bricks-and-mortar Toys "R" Us store here, a brand which vanished back home in the UK many years ago. For food and drink, there are a couple of options for fast food including Burger King and McDonald's, but there aren't many options for coffee. I was surprised to see Starbucks absent from the mall. One of the coolest things about the mall for me is that most of the stores are open until midnight. A mall like this would likely close around 8-9 PM back home in the UK, so for a night owl like myself this is awesome! Although, this is traditional in Lisbon as a whole. 4* - The best place to shop in Lisbon, not without its flaws but certainly worth a visit on a rare rainy day in the city or if you have to pick up something while visiting the Portuguese capital.

It's easy to get hooked, because it's so much fun shopping here! Unlike other stores, there's an in and out, and you kind of walk around the maze passing one section after another. Plenty of neat things, from home goods, art supplies, to toys, accessories, snacks, pet stuff and party supplies. Colorful, eye catching display, and friendly staff. I really didn't do any shopping here. It was fun to walk through and see the lights and lovely holiday decorations. (And a tip - if you need a restroom - here's a spot.) But what makes this place special are the holiday lights on the exterior. They have a lovely light and music display that runs at certain times (not sure how often), which passersby stop by and watch. It's really fun to watch. We came upon it by accident, but so glad we did. So for me, the fun is in people watching, and the decor outside. For shopping in Lisbon - you may find what you need here, but you may also really enjoy stopping in the many shops on the streets.

There aren't a great deal of stores here, the total on the website states 50, and that felt accurate based on my experience. Some international brands which have stores here include Kiko Milano and Sephora, Mango, Tommy Jeans, and The Body Shop. There are multiple options for food and drink including large American chains such as McDonald's and Starbucks. There is some seating around the small, again which is handy if you're looking to sit down while shopping, or walking around the city, without heading into a cafe/restaurant. 3* - Certainly dwarfed by the Colombo Shopping Centre which is further out, but the best out of limited options if you're looking for a mall in central Lisbon, it is an impressive building and the Starbucks / McDonald's are particularly useful in this location.
