My daughter has been attending the Sunday and Hebrew school at Temple Sinai in Sarasota for over three years and we love it there. How many Jewish kids do you know who look forward to going to these events each week? Why and what are they doing: You may ask? They are so much more than a temple, they are a family who is caring, motivational, and inspirational. They make it real for the kids. For example, to help symbolize the 6 million people who perished in the Holocaust they have been collecting tabs from soda, pet food, soup cans, etc. in the hopes of reaching 6 million. When they reach this number with your help (if you decide to help, please send the tabs directly to Sue Huntting at the school), they will create an amazing symbol with the tabs to commemorate this extraordinary undertaking. This great idea is one of many provided by the exemplar board, staff, and members of this richly diverse community. I believe it is one of the best in Sarasota! read more
